Africa's hungry millions overwhelm SAfrica - taxpayers, investors flee enmasse...
By Adriana Stuijt Nol_stuijt@hotmail.com or censorbugbear@gmail.com
Oct 27 2008 -- The biggest migration in the world is now taking place in South Africa. Many millions of famished, terrified Zimbabweans and other destitute Africans continue to stream into South Africa, setting up many new, crime-ridden squatter camps. At the same time, the country is being plunged into a vicious political battle which shows all the hallmarks of an approaching civil war - adding a new sense of urgency to the taxpayers' flight from the growing violent-crime epidemic and the increasingly feral killer-gangs. Foreign investors also woke up rather suddenly when the melt-down started: they are now selling off their SA shares to the tune of R47 673-billion this past year alone...
Over the past six months there has been a particularly dramatic exodus of taxpayers. At least 1-million mostly white, skilled South African taxpayers have already fled the country since 1994, shipping dozens of container-loads of goods out...each week. Every 20 of the 100 houses now sold in the country are by taxpaying families of all races, fleeing the country of their birth with their young children...
Foreigners have sold off R47 673-billion in South African shares thus far this year...
And besides haemorrhagic white middle-class taxpayers, the mineral-rich and wealthiest country on the African country also is bleeding foreign investors: foreigners were the net sellers of R47.673-bn of South African shares thus far this year. Last year they were the net purchasers to the tune of R62.404-bn. Compare this with the previous two years: in 2007, foreigners bought a net R63.272bn of local shares - in 2006, they bought R73.698bn worth of of shares...

GROWING STARVATION IN SA WARNS THE ANC/SACP/COSATU SUMMIT...
Yet in South Africa, famine is also looming... and with the country's taxpayers (and employers of black people) now fleeing enmasse, how are all these starving African millions going to be fed in South Africa? Thus, the SA Human Rights commission's claim this week that 14,5million people are now going hungry in South Africa is a gross understatement when all these other facts are also taken into account. http://www.thetimes.co.za/News/Article.aspx?id=8651
On Oct 19 2008, the ANC/SACP/COSATU leadership summit warned that to address "the growing starvation in the country, South Africa must produce more food..'South Africa has grown from being a net exporter to being an importer of food and this needs to be addressed..' they concluded.

21,5-million SA people already lived below the poverty-line in 2007:
South Africa is already facing a growing famine: the CIA Factbook on South Africa notes that a whopping 50% of the country's 43-m people (CIA stats for 2006)-- i.e. more than 21,5-million people including 1-million Afrikaner whites -- already lived below the poverty line of $1 a day by last year -- and that the population's actual growth rate had dropped to 0.40% due to the AIDS (and TB) epidemics. The only reason the population was still growing was the large migration pattern from the rest of Africa, the CIA notes. http://www.lloyds.com/CmsPhoenix/DowJonesArticle.aspx?id=408669
Mxolisi Ncube reported from JOHANNESBURG on Oct 14, 2008 that Zimbabwean refugees are still pouring into South Africa - and they aren't going back, either. Millions of Zimbabweans thus still continue voting with their feet against the power-sharing agreement recently signed by the country’s main political leaders. A decade-long economic collapse already had emptied Zimbabwe of nearly a third of its people, but human rights groups say that since July. the exodus has become a mass-flood. Every week, SA police arrest hundreds of illegal migrants near the main border crossing outside the town of Musina. Authorities say that many more sneak across undetected. It has become a full-scale rout from Zimbabwe.
What is happening now, is that Zimbabwe's population is no longer transmigrating - but settling permanently in South Africa and Botswana - desperate to flee the suppression and famine in their own country, they now seek food and safety with just the clothes on their backs. And for those millions of desperate souls who sneak across these frontiers, consider the obstacles: Armed bandits. A river populated by crocodiles and man-mauling hippos. Many man-eating lions who have learned to relish human flesh in the Kruger national park. Multiple rows of fences. And they go to a country they know is dangerously hostile to immigrants. Yet this is what they continue to do by the thousands each day - just to escape from Robert Mugabe's Zimbabwe.
WORLD HUNGER MAP NOW INCLUDES SOUTH AFRICA, TOO:

GROWING FAMINE, FOOD SHORTAGES IN SOUTH AFRICA:
Yet things aren't that much better for these starving refugees in South Africa either: the local food shortages are growing into a massive famine, the Zimbabweans are increasingly unwelcome in the townships, many are murdered and their sheds torched so they set up thousands of new squatter camps occupied only by Zimbabweans around all the major towns. And the employed taxpaying South Africans who used to employ black people, are also fleeing the country. Over the past two years, South Africa's cities have swelled by some 3,000 new squatter camps which simply mushroomed practically overnight and are causing massive pollution to the streams, rivers, dams and even the underground water supplies....
The influx is putting more and more pressure on the entire South African infrastructure which has already absorbed some 5 million destitute African immigrants over the past 5 years — and who now form more than one-tenth of the population — creating a volatile mixture of fear and resentment in all the South African towns and cities. In May, more than 60 foreign Africans were killed in an eruption of anti-immigrant violence across the country.
SA also haemorrhaging huge numbers of taxpaying employers...
At the same time, the crime epidemic caused by these increasingly desperate, hungry and unemployable masses of African people has also set an exodus in motion: the taxpayers and employers of blacks are now also fleeing South Africa with their families. Mrs Sharon Yerman, director of the emigration service company Forman Hendrikse Emigration Services says from Cape Town alone, the number of emigrants to New Zealand has increased by 70% this year...
- And most of these taxpayers are the country's top-qualified white and coloured families with small children. http://www.afriforum.co.za/english/wp-content/uploads/2008/04/2008-04-05-emigrasie-1-volksblad.pdf
16 containerloads belonging to emigrants go to the UK each week...and that's just from one company...
The reasons provided by these permanent emigrants for this increasingly desperate exodus are 'crime, affirmative action and dropping educational standards,' she said. Pickford transport company international manager Jeanne de Jager says the company averages a weekly 12 to 16 huge containerloads of emigrants' belongings being shipped to Great Britain alone from Cape Town, and this represents the property of hundreds of emigrating South African taxpayers leaving each week.
"Since November last year, South Africans have also mainly moved to Australia and New Zealand, and this shows no sign of slowing down,' she added.
Most of the taxpayers leaving the country are families with young children.
- This exodus is supported by First National Bank 's property-barometer which shows that two out of every ten house-sales (20%) now is due to emigration of the owners - and each one of those families are on the taxpayer-base, many are company owners and each one of them also are employers of black families. House sales by young families moving abroad suddenly started soaring dramatically during the third-quarter of last year and show no sign of abating.
In 2007, there were a total 7-million registered taxpayers in South Africa -- 5-million individual heads of families; 1,7-million companies and 300,000 financial trusts. In an effort to get more people onto their taxbase, the government has set up a website allowing individual taxpayers to access and download their income tax return forms from http://www.sarsefiling.co.za. The country is hoping to broaden its tax base to 10.5 million by 2010.
One emigrating taxpayer = 16 black people with a lost income...
Exactly how South Africa's government hopes to still increase its taxbase when so many taxpayers are now emigrating and being replaced by millions of unemployable, desperately hungry people, is anybody's guess.
Each individual taxpaying family usually directly employed at least two black taxpaying workers: a housekeeper and a gardener, who in turn supported 7 members of their extended families each on average... )*
One emigrating taxpayer causes at least 16 black people (maids, gardeners and their dependants) to lose their sole source of income...

FOOD STILL 'PLENTIFUL' IN SA - FOR THOSE WHO CAN AFFORD IT...
This snappy ad for a SA fast-food restaurant shows that outward appearances can deceive very badly: for those who still can afford it, food is of course still plentiful...but the CIA statistics state that by 2007, 21,5-million SA families had to survive on less than R10 a day and could never afford this meal:
Immigration:
New Zealand immigration statistics 2007
In 2008, just over 51,000 immigrants were granted New Zealand residence in the past fiscal year, which ended on March 31. More than 10 500 were from Britain, followed by 6 700 from China, 4 586 from the Philippines and 4,344 from South Africa.

BLACK SA INCOME-EARNERS AND THE SIZE OF THEIR DEPENDANT-GROUPS:
)* With the growing death-rates due to the AIDS/plus XDR-TB epidemics, it's also seen that black-old age pensioners for instance, often end up supporting as many as ten young family members and even neighbouring orphans -- thus each income-earning black South African also supports a growing number of dependants. )
Civil war in South Africa has started
Quote: "When they (the black opposition) arrive here, they must find you on guard... and YOU MUST KILL THEM... -- ANC Youth leader Malema... Oct 25 2008
The civil war has started in South Africa
The ruling African National Congress party of South Africa never allows public speeches like these unless they have permission from the commissariat - and due to their near-total grip on all the public media, most certainly would never allow the state-broadcaster to publish this unless they agreed with these sentiments. The following shocking speech was made on 25 October 2008 by ANC Youth League leader Julius Malema: broadcast by the SA state-run broadcaster SABC-TV, Channel 3.

Malema said on this clip:
"You are the eyes and ears of the ANC... you are the foot soldiers of the ANC... you are the defenders of the revolution... You are the prosecutors of the revolution, and when they (the black opposition) arrive here, they must find you on guard... they must find you ready... AND YOU MUST KILL THEM!

The war-chants are back, chanting... "Kill Shilowa, kill Lekota, kill Zuma...'
The toyi-toyi chants at these violence-driven political rallies of the ANC, where hundreds of ANC members are torching their membership cards, are once again as they were before 1994, accompanied by the old African National Congress's shouts of "Amandla" Awethu and the Pan African Congress' slogan, One settler, one bullet". Often the chanting Kill the Boer kill the Farmer, is also heard. But one of the most popular songs being chanted now is Zuma's "Bring me my machine gun'... This is war-talk, incitement to kill, and intolerable in any normal society.

One of South Africa's top communists Willie Madisha, ex-chairman of the Cosatu trade union movement -- and no slouch when it comes to violence himself -- now warns repeatedly 'South Africa is going to be plunged into large-scale violence if there's no intervention' of these current events. He did not say what kind of 'intervention' he visualised - the South African police are already busy elsewhere, dodging bullets from the AK47s and Uzis by thousands of out-of-control, feral township youth gangs... Leader of the breakaway faction Terror Lekota had to be smuggled into one meeting at Orange Farm at high speed with a black Citi Golf guarded by security guards -- and after the meeting twelve of his t-shirted supporters had to be smuggled out, ironically in the SA Police's only remaining active Casspir armoured personnel carrier which became a target of so much hatred during the apartheid years...

With the ruling party losing its grip on all authority, criminal violence is spinning out of control... and investors are fleeing the country enmasse, haemorrhaging R43-billion in the past three months alone.

Things are becoming so desperate for South Africa's 98,000 operational police officers, that a scheme has now been concocted to pull the country's 350,000 private security guards into doing official police work in the country's losing war against the crime gangs. The scheme was kicked off in besieged Honeydew, the large smallholdings-region north of Sandton/Johannesburg. Security guards -- although untrained in police-forensics work -- in Johannesburg’s crime-plagued northwestern suburbs will from this week formally take charge of crime scenes after armed robberies at homes and businesses whenever they arrive first - and they usually do. They will be trained to secure forensic evidence and learn to identify and arrest suspects and take notes of evidence.
SA's 350,000 private security guards vastly outnumber its 98,000 operational police officers...
There are almost four security guards to every operational police officer in South Africa and they often arrive at crime scenes first. From the northwestern suburbs, falling under the Honeydew 'policing cluster', the project will next be rolled out to Sandton and then to Alexandra and Rustenburg. "Business Against Crime South Africa," which started this Private Security Alignment Initiative, is now also negotiating with private security firms in KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape to take the project there. The new crime-fighting partnership aims to make a dent in the number of “trio” crimes — business robbery, house robbery and hijacking.
A critical warning was sounded by crime prevention research leader Barbara Holtmann of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research, who branded the project as “a bit of a desperate response” and questioned whether it would reduce crime or just displace it: “Police have a specific mandate and I’m not sure it’s a good idea to hand over parts of that mandate to people who have a private profit motive,” she said.
However, many of South Africa's 350,000 private security guards often are already in the vanguard of crime-fighting and on a fast learning-curve. Moreover, many already are trained police officers: white ex-cops who were fired from the police force because they had the wrong skin colour, often sign up as security guards with big firms. One recent example was the outstanding work by private detectives Wimpie Swanepoel, left and Josef Meyer, who recently saved the entire Van Kaam farm family from a gang of armed attackers in Honeydew north of Johannesburg. The two Afrikaner ex-cops swooped down on the farm just as the gangsters were threatening to rape the wife and two young daughters. Swanepoel and Meyer then chased the three attackers with a helicopter and engaged them in a 'mini-war' while on the run. Somehow nobody got injured although some 40 shots were exchanged. However, there were no cops to catch them: the Krugersdorp police are so understaffed that they couldn't follow up . The gang fled on foot into the veld after crashing the attacked farmer's bakkie against an electricity meter.

The poor condition of the SA police force is also illustrated by recent crime events such as the ordeal suffered by Mrs Kotie Mostert (62) after her face was smashed in by a man who broke into their Balfour home looking for food. Husband Dirk then tackled the man and locked him in the bathroom - and tried to call the cops to come and arrest him. However, the phone lines to the police station were out - and Mrs Mostert then had to drive to the police station to get her assaulter arrested. A 24-year-old man, Doctor Mofokeng, was captured. http://www.news24.com/Beeld/Suid-Afrika/0,,3-975_2303908,00.html
90% of all house robbers in SA are "blacks planning carefully'... research shows...
Oct 24 2008 - PRETORIA. Eight out of every ten armed robberies in South Africa are carefully planned - and 90% of these armed gangsters are black while nearly 85% were South African citizens. And they are also becoming more violent as attacks against homeowners escalate. Also important to know is that these gangs are responsible for more than 45% of all the violent deaths in South Africa:
87 VIOLENT DEATHS PER DAY in South Africa...
In 2007, the police recorded 31,677 violence-related deaths in South Africa (18,487 murders plus 13,184 culpible homicides). That's more than 87 violence-related deaths PER DAY.

75,000 KNOWN ORGANISED GANG MEMBERS IN SOUTH AFRICA, ARMED WITH AK47s and UZIS...
With South Africa now nearing an annual 15,000 attacks on unarmed families inside their homes -- carried out by armed gangs averaging 5 members each, usually carrying AK47s and Uzis -- this means that at least 67,500 (90%) black South African gang members are currently carrying out these armed attacks against unarmed families (mostly whites and Indians) inside their middle-class high-security homes. It's also known that there are some 15,000 'coloured' gang members on the Cape Flats near Cape Town, supporting some 100,000 dependants from the proceeds of violent crime...
- These attacks targetting middleclass families have jumped dramatically over the past five years under ANC-hegemony, from 9,000 five years ago to close to 15,000 in the 2007/2008 book year up to March 2008. And the 'upper- and middle-class', best-protected residential areas are also being hit the hardest by these gangs in spite of the high levels security systems installed there...
http://www.saps.gov.za/statistics/reports/crimestats/2008/march_april_2001_2008/catagory/robbery_residential.pdf
Research by Dr Rudolf Zinn, a senior lecturer in forensic and crime investigation at Unisa questioned groups of robbers in jail -- which showed that they often received information weeks before committing the crime -- from domestic workers or people who knew a family's movements well.
- And they get away with it 100 times before being caught...
- Most armed gangs who were attacking SA families inside their homes got away with more than 100 serious crimes before finally being apprehended, he also found. These attacks were already stepped up massively since last year, when 40 armed gang-attacks a day were recorded all over the country - targetting mostly South African white and -Indian middle-class families inside their high-security, fortress-like homes...
Anybody asking questions about you? Start worrying....
His research also showed that robbers gathered thorough information about a house. They would question domestic workers or vulnerable or naive family members like children about the behaviour of the family, up to two weeks in advance. Sometimes they also asked around in the neighbourhood.
Zinn found that two thirds of the prisoners he'd questioned, had committed on average 103 serious crimes over a period of six years and seven months before being caught.
- Ninety percent of the perpetrators were black. And at least 15,000 gang-members live in the coloured, Afrikaans-speaking areas of the Cape Flats near Cape Town -- supporting some 100,000 dependents from their lives of crime in one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world.
Nearly 85% of all these armed robbers attacking hapless families were fellow-South Africans, while white tourists were targetted 15% of the time...
And while the country is descending into violence and political chaos, the only people still able to put food on everybody's table are still steadily being forced off the agricultural lands. They now face a new wave of pressure to relinquish their last farms through new anti-white land-ownership laws being planned, and also by the ongoing racist violence targetting their families in the countryside. In 1994 there were 85,000 white commercial farmers employing and housing 1,2million fulltime workers: in 2005 the SA tax records indicated that only 13,500 white farmers remained (on less than ONE PERCENT of the entire SA land surface) with 350,000 fulltime, live-in employees on their payrolls. ATTACKS AGAINST FOREIGN AFRICANS CAUSED BY HOUSING CRISIS
The SA Scientific Research Council has also just released a report which its findings that it was the ANC-government's failure to house many millions of poor black South Africanse adequately, which helped trigger the ongoing deadly xenophobic violence in the townships. That's a key finding in an official report released by HSRC on Oct 23 2008 .And they add a warning, noting that the housing crisis now is even worse, and that 'little has changed to prevent the violence breaking out again." At least 60 people were murdered, many of them burnt alive; and 10,000 foreign Africans chased from their homes and forced to camp out for months
And this still continues every night: Xhosa-youths still scour the local pubs, asking people to pronounce certain Xhosa-words to weed out the 'foreigners' and then proceed to torch their shanties and chase them out of their neighbourhoods...

Sunningdale mom Lauren Olivier, left to die with 40 wounds next to her new baby
Lauren Olivier, 28, left tied up and gagged while dying with 40 wounds, had called him 'a kaffir', claims gardener Makhela Johnson Thabethe in signed confession...
26-Oct-2008 DURBAN HIGH COURT. South Africa. The man who had killed Sunningdale KZN mom Lauren Olivier in her luxury home on Sept 6 last year, confessed to his crime before a Durban High Court judge on Monday - but while the prosecutor accepted his guilty plea, she also warned the judge that it was not necessarily the whole truth.
- "We cannot gainsay his version," state advocate Yasmin Vahed said of Makhele Johnson Thabethe's written plea... The judge agreed, sentencing the gardener to 30 years in prison.
- Also see our Picture-gallery: mainly white SAfricans murdered 2007-8:
According to the forensic report in the court documents, Mrs Olivier had suffered more than 40 puncture and stab wounds - not 19 as initially reported. The ferocity with which Mrs Olivier had been killed had sent shockwaves through the close-knit Sunningdale community. She was bludgeoned and stabbed while the young mom, still frail from childbirth, was also holding her baby, Jack.
http://www.witness.co.za/index.php?showcontent&global%5B_id%5D=14513
The gardener claimed that she'd called him a kaffir and had refused to pay his day's wages... so he'd beat her with a monkey wrench, then stabbed her repeatedly, tied her up and gagged her to stop her from raising the alarm - and then just climbed out of a window and left.
Thabethe, left, this week confessed to bludgeoning and stabbing the frail young mom but also wrote in his confession that he 'had left her baby unharmed'. He then stole a mere R70 ($6,50), her cellphone and MP3 player and went into hiding for over a year. The police investigating team however regularly conducted interviews with the suspect’s family and never gave up trying to find him. Eventually, they had found the suspect hiding inside his family's house. He said in his confession however that he'd decided to go home and turn himself in because he felt guilty.
The chairman of the Durban north and Umhlanga community policing forum, Haden Searles, said Mrs Olivier’s widower Tony was “pleased” with the arrest. “He is happy about the arrest but it has opened up a lot of hurt and bad memories for him,' said Searles.
Her father Lindsay Shankland said they'd had only one question for her killer: Why? "We have battled with this so much, and all we want to know is why he did it," Olivier's father Lindsay Shankland said. And while the breakthrough in her murder 'would help with the healing process, it would in no way provide closure. An empty feeling would be with us; my wife and my two other children forever ,' her father told the news media.
According to her murderer's written confession, the young mom had been carrying baby Tony when Thabethe had followed her into her Sunningdale home from the garage, had bludgeoned her with a monkey wrench he had brought with him from the family's garage, and had then stabbed her repeatedly, and then gagged and tied her and left her next to her unharmed baby. He appeared before Judge Mohini Murugasen in the Durban High Court with his guilty plea.
- With no witnesses to the crime itself, the state prosecutor said they were 'forced to accept his version of what happened on that afternoon.'
Thabethe said in his written statement that he had worked every Thursday for the Olivier family for only about a month, earning R60 after each day worked. On September 6 last year, he 'd arrived at work 15 minutes late and Olivier said he would have to work until 4.15pm that day to make up the lost time.
"At 4.15 I reported to her that I had finished my duties and was ready to leave. She said I could not and that I must move some cardboard boxes in the garage and clean it." The gardener said in his confession that he'd 'explained he needed to leave' and that he'd asked for half his wages. But Mrs Olivier said she would not pay him at all if he did not work in the garage after being late for work that morning. He said Mrs Olivier, carrying her baby, had followed him into the garage and called him "stupid", a "kaffir"and had sworn at him.
- Angry and upset, he'd picked up a monkey wrench from the garage, ran behind her as she walked into the house and had bludgeoned her over the head.
She was still carrying her baby after this first attack with a heavy monkey-wrench, but then, he wrote... "Mrs Olivier grabbed hold of my left arm. I managed to free myself and picked up a knife in the kitchen and started to stab her as she approached me. She fell to the ground," he said. Thabethe said the alarm went off and he climbed into the ceiling to disconnect it. "I became scared of what I had done. To prevent her from alerting the neighbours, I tied her hands with a shoe lace and put a sock in her mouth. I did not harm her baby."
- He said because he had not been paid, he then went to the bedroom and took R70 from Olivier's purse, a cellphone and MP3 player, and left through a window. A few days later he went to Nqutu township, where he lived until October this year. I felt guilty about what I did and returned home. I told my mum that I wanted to hand myself over to the police and she called the police," he said.
Defence advocate Thiagaraj Pillay suggested that Thabethe 'had lacked maturity in dealing with the provocation...' He admitted however to 'the brutality and severity of the crime', but also argued that there were 'substantial and compelling circumstances to deviate from the legislated minimum sentence of 15 years." However state prosecutor Vahed firmly disagreed, asking the judge to impose more than 15 years. She pointed out that Mrs Olivier had 'suffered more than 40 "puncture and stab wounds".
- "He knew that she had recently given birth but he left her mortally wounded with her 2-month-old baby," she said.
- The judge concurred: he sentenced the gardener to 30 years in prison.

SA chemist Marius MacDonald bleeds to death, Kameeldrift farm attack Pretoria
MacDonald, 42, was shot at point-blank range, tied up to his two young sons and his wife while slowly bleeding to death, pleading for his life...

Oct 26 2008 KAMEELDRIFT/LEEUFONTEIN, Pretoria. Beeld journalist Hilda Fourie reports that 42-year-old father of two Marius MacDonald, 42, was shot by a coldblooded gunman during an attack on his smallholding near Pretoria yesterday. The man had shot him in his lower body, and then tied the man up, who was bleeding profusely and begging the gunman to help him. He slowly bled to death, tied up with his hands and feet to his wife and two sons.
This brings the farm-murder toll in South Africa since 1994 to 3,002 killed:
Family had 4 guns -- which had to be locked in the gunsafe...
This family had four legally-registered guns in the house -- but under SA law, legal gun-owners are forced to lock these in a centrally-registered gunsafe -- and were unable to defend themselves.
His brother-in-law Wiekus Moolman, 21, (picture right by Beeld newspaper) was hiding in Gareth's room throughout the family's ordeal -- and was listening in helpless fear to the family's ordeal, told Beeld newspaper that 'those robbers just couldn't care less...'
The three armed men -- one of whom was referred to as Oscar by a comrade -- climbed into the MacDonald homestead on Sunday just after midnight. They first awakened 12-year-old Gareth, who'd fallen asleep in front of the TV, by pushing a gun to his head and telling the terrified boy to call out for his parents.
Moolman said that when his sister and her husband opened their bedroom door, two armed men were standing in front of them. Marius took a step forward and they immediately gunned him down, his wife behind him, their little son Jason, 2, next to him. Moolman said that Gareth was on the stairs and didn't know if he saw his dad shot down.
Threatened to kill the wife if she went to help her husband...
The attackers were cold and cruel. Moolman said they forced his sister Leonora, 38, at gunpoint to open the family 's registered gun-safe, forcing her to take little Jason with her in her arms while they pointed guns at her and her small child - and adamantly refused to let her help her husband stem the bleeding.
They demanded cellphones and then forced Mrs MacDonald to identify and sort out the keys to the homestead, the gate and the car for them. Then they tied up Mrs MacDonald, still holding little Jason, attaching her hands and feet to her husband's with shoelaces; then forced Gareth to kneel next to his dad with his back turned to him, tying up the father and son up together, attached with their hands and feet.
Marius was pleading for help and water while he was slowly bleeding to death - but when his wife went over to try and help him, they pointed their guns at her and threatened to kill her too. That's how this white South African family was was forced to watch their breadwinner and father bleed to death.
The men then searched the rest of the house - and discovered Moolman, dragging him from Gareth 's bedroom and also tying him up with the rest of the family. They carried out the TV, several computers and other electronics and loaded it into the MacDonald's Volkswagen Polo family car.
MacDonald died five minutes after they'd left.
Mr Moolman said he has never felt so helpless in his young life - he could hear everything. "The police showed up around the time the attackers drove off with their loot; at which point the murderers abandoned the car and the loot and ran away with the four firearms from the safe. Moolman said they'd had several breakins into their car over the past few months. Local constable Mabel Sibanda said nobody was arrested.
