Afrikaner is on the eve of Uhuru – annihilation…

Uhuru campaign planned against South Africa’s Afrikaners warns leader Dr Dan Roodt
Dan Roodt of the Pro-Afrikaans Action groups writes that the murder of AWB-leader Terre’Blanche – in the runup to the World Cup 2010 – coincides with the widespread disarming of Afrikaner citizens; the ANC youth leader’s genocidal hate-speech against Boers and whites and his calls for the ‘indigenosation of farms’ – i.e. the removal of all whites -- during a visit to Zimbabwe where was received as an honoured guest of Mugabe’s Zanu-PF. Roodt points out that this coincides with the fact that a secret airport was built in the Marange diamond fields for the sole purpose of flying in weapons from China. “Mugabe’s airforce now has a specialised airfield just for this purpose.’ He said the murder on Terre’Blanche was symbolic in nature – and needed to increase racial polarisation so that South Africa’s ‘Uhuru’ can start. He warned that the Afrikaner’s Third Freedom War was about to start, probably right after the World Cup 2010 and all the tourists had gone home. He also warned that the British, Europe’s and the USA support of the ANC-regime had ‘thrown open the door for a Chinese takeover of South Africa’s mineral assets’.

Soos elkeen wat geskiedenis op skool gehad het weet, het 'n sluipmoord op aartsbiskop Franz Ferdinand van Sarajewo op 28 Junie 1914 direk aanleiding tot die eerste wêreldoorlog gegee. Die moord op die AWB-leier geskied op 'n besonder sensitiewe oomblik in ons geskiedenis, op die vooraand van die Wêreldsokkerbeker en moet in 'n baie ernstige lig gesien word.
Daar is enkele elemente wat hier van belang is:
- Julius Malema wat praat van "verinheemsing", m.a.w. die verdrywing van blankes van plaasgrond soos in Zimbabwe
- Malema se huidige besoek aan Zimbabwe waar hy die steun van ZANU-PF ontvang het vir anti-blanke en anti-Afrikaner-optrede in Suid-Afrika
- 'n Geheime vliegveld wat volgens berigte in Britse koerante - waarskynlik gegrond op waarneming deur die Britse inligtingsdiens - in die diamantgebied Marange gebou is en waarvan die uitsluitlike doel sou wees om wapens vanaf China in te vlieg. Anders as 'n tyd gelede toe 'n skip met Chinese wapens nie in Suid-Afrikaanse hawens toegelaat is nie, beskik Mugabe se weermag nou oor 'n gespesialiseerde vliegveld vir dié doel.
- Stellings dat "vryheidsliedjies" waarin volksmoord op Boere en blankes aangehits word as die ANC se "kultuurerfenis" beskou moet word. Die moord op Eugene Terre'Blanche. Blykbaar het die twee swartes maar drie weke by hom gewerk voordat hulle tot die daad oorgegaan het, wat mag dui op 'n sluipmoordmotief.
As 'n mens bogaande elemente bymekaar tel, is dit gelyk aan vyf. Die totale scenario wat hierdeur geskets word, kan op die volgende neerkom.
Die moord op Terre'Blanche is van simboliese aard en was nodig om die land in beroering te bring en rassepolarisering te skep sodat Suid-Afrika se "oehoeroe" kan begin. Malema het so pas in Zimbabwe beraadslaag om militêre steun van die Zimbabwiese weermag in geval van gevegte op Suid-Afrikaanse plase te bekom. Die Chinese wapens wat inkom, gaan gebruik word om 'n groot aantal Zimbabwiese en Suid-Afrikaanse swartes te bewapen ten einde ons blanke boere van hul eiendom te beroof. Selfs stedelinge kan aangeval word.
Tydens die ontwapeningsproses van die afgelope paar jaar het die ANC gesorg dat hy blanke wapeneienaars intimideer om hul wapens te gaan inhandig. Groot getalle mense is dus nou weerloos teenoor wat die volgende fase van die "nasionale demokratiese revolusie" ook al gaan behels.
Die moorde op drie AWB-manne destyds in Bophutswana deur 'n plaaslike swart polisieman was 'n sleuteloomblik in die sielkundige oorlog wat daar destyds teen die Afrikaner gevoer is en was bedoel om ons magteloosheid voor die opkomende swart mag te demonstreer. Die onwilligheid van die voormalige generaals en Suid-Afrikaanse Weermag om die eerste fase van die revolusie met geweld te stuit was die aanleidende oorsaak daartoe dat 'n paar vedwaalde AWB's al was wat destyds weerstand teen die "bevrydingsbeweging" se totale oorname van die land en sy hulpbronne wou bied.
Maar laat ons nie vashaak op die legio strategiese foute van die verlede nie en eerder konsentreer op wat ons nou te doen staan.
Die Afrikaner moet besef dat hy voor die grootste uitdaging sedert 1899 en die Britse inval in die land te staan gekom het. In 'n wesentlike sin gaan dit oor die Derde Vryheidsoorlog wat vir alle praktiese doeleindes reeds begin het, want die sogenaamde "misdaadaanvalle" wat ons tans sien, word elders in Afrika orals as 'n vorm van oorlogvoering erken. Die Afrikaan hou nie van 'n sterk opponent nie en val by voorkeur die swakkere aan - vroue, kinders, bejaardes of mense wat slaap en onverhoeds betrap kan word. Dat Eugene Terre'Blanche op sy bed gevind is, laat vele reeds aflei dat hy tydens die aanval geslaap het.
Ons verkeer op die vooraand van 'n baie onsekere tydvak waartydens die huidige geweld gaan voortduur en te eniger oomblik drasties mag eskaleer tot volskaalse burgeroorlog, rasseoorlog, volksmoord of enige van die aardige versameling konflikte wat sedert 1950 aanhoudend in Afrika suid van die Sahara woed. Ons is, benewens handwapens en jaggewere, grotendeels ontwapen. Die ANC beheer die outomatiese wapens, asook die pantserskool op Bloemfontein van waar hy die hele land kan aanval.
Tesame met sy Zimbabwiese bondgenoot wat hom van bykomende wapens en ammunisie, asook logistiek, kan voorsien, is die tafel gedek vir die ANC om die Afrikanerboer finaal van sy grond te verdryf en ook in die stede 'n skrikbewind te begin voer, want as die land se plase beset kan word, waarom daar ophou en nie ook die huise beset nie?
Die buiteland gaan ons vir seker nie help nie, hoewel dit lyk asof Brittanje besig is om - heelwat te laat - sy groteske fout agter te kom deur vanaf 1978 radikale revolusie in sowel Zimbabwe as Suid-Afrika te steun. Nie net het Brittanje die deur vir China oopgemaak om hier oor te neem nie, maar hy het vir hom vyande in die vorm van sowel ZANU-PF as die ANC geskep. Hoewel Brittanje, asook die VSA onder Obama, met gevoude hande sal toekyk hoe ons uitgemoor word, sien hulle waarskynlik vir die eerste keer in jare in die Afrikaner 'n moontlike teenmag in Suider-Afrika wat revolusionêre anargie soos in Zimbabwe kan keer.
Die gewone Afrikaner sal attent gemaak moet word in watter bestaanskrisis ons verkeer, met die onweerswolke wat vanaf die vliegveld in Marange tot rondom ons huise en plase besig is om saam te pak.
As die laaste oorsese toeris ná die sokkerwêreldbeker op die vliegtuig klim, gaan oehoeroe heel waarskynlik begin. Ons het nie veel tyd nie.
Wat veral nou vermy moet word, is ongekoördineerde aksies deur emosioneel opgeruide mense. Ons wil nooit weer 'n voorval soos die AWB-slagoffers in Bophutatswana sien nie.
- Ons sal onsself in 'n volksweermag moet organiseer, wettiglik en met die wettige wapens en ammunisie waaroor ons tans beskik. Tydens die tweede wêreloorlog het 'n klein landjie soos Finland teen die Rooi Leër staande gebly, bloot deur die doeltreffende gebruik van skerpskutters en jagters. Umkhonto we Sizwe en ZANU-PF mag tans beter bewapen as ons wees, danksy hul oorname van die Weermag en die inkomende Chinese wapens, maar ons gaan 'n defensiewe oorlog veg op ons eie grondgebied, op ons eie plase en in ons eie voorstedelike strate.
Ek het volle vertroue in die Afrikaner se organisatoriese vermoëns en uiteindelik word elke oorlog op grond van organisasie, meer as enigiets anders, gewen. Soos die ou militêre wysheid lui: Die oningewydes praat strategie terwyl die ervarenes logistiek gesels.
- Die oomblik as ons hierdie staat en veral die munisipaliteite los, sal hy vanself in duie stort.
Slegs 'n sterk staat kan 'n sterk weermag hê. Dit maak nie saak hoeveel Chinese wapens deur Zimbabwe gaan inkom nie, as die oorlog regtig in alle erns begin, sal ons aanstons die oorhand verkry. Ons het niks méér te vrees as die huidige geweld waaraan ons reeds blootgestel is nie. Laat die ANC en sy ZANU-PF-bondgenoot dus sy oorlog ontketen. Ons is nog nie reg vir hulle nie, maar ek is seker ons kan binne enkele weke of maande onsself in so 'n mate organiseer dat geen Westerse invalsmag ons sommer sal verower nie, wat nog te sê die opgesweepte, maar ongeorganiseerde hordes van die bevrydingsbewegings. http://www.praag.co.za Uhuru:

Vandaag wordt in Ventersdorp, honderd kilometer ten westen van Johannesburg, Eugène Terre’Blanche begraven. Voorstanders van de Apartheid weten het nu niet meer: moet het komend wereledkampioenschap voetbal in Zuid-Afrika geboycot worden of niet.
Eugène Terre'Blanche richtte in 1972 de Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging (AWB) op. Die ijverde voor een witte natie van Boeren – zoals de Afrikaanstalige, van Hollandse kolonisten afstammende boerenbevolking werd genoemd – in de Transvaal, Oranje-Vrijstaat en Natal. Dat regime zou op sterk religieuze en puriteinse principes gebaseerd zijn.
De Afrikaners waren volgens Terre'Blanche Gods uitverkoren volk. De emblemen en kleuren lieten over de extreem-rechtse signatuur van zijn beweging geen twijfel bestaan. Terre'Blanche liet zich 'die Leier' noemen (zoals Der Führer en Il Duce), reed steevast rond op een zwart glimmend paard (waar hij ooit tijdens een parade afdonderde) en werd begeleid door gemaskerde lijfwachten.
De AWB maakte faam met bedenkelijke acties zoals het insmeren met pek en veren van een relatief progressieve Afrikaner theoloog. Terre'Blanche bedreigde het Apartheidsregime met oorlog als het zou toegeven aan de wensen van de zwarte meerderheid in het land. De aanvankelijk geheime organisatie was nooit een grote machtsfactor, maar domineerde rondom de eerste vrije verkiezingen in 1994 lang het nieuws, met racistische uitspraken en Afrikaner folklore.
De acties van de AWB werden gewelddadiger toen president De Klerk in 1990 onderhandelingen begon met Nelson Mandela's ANC. Een pantserwagen van de AWB reed in 1993 in Johannesburg naar binnen in het gebouw waar de onderhandelingen plaatshadden. Voor de Waarheids- en Verzoeningscommissie erkende Terre'Blanche in 1998 'politieke en morele verantwoordelijkheid' voor een serie bomaanslagen in die tijd waarbij 21 mensen om het leven kwamen.
Rond diezelfde tijd verloor zijn organisatie, die op zijn hoogtepunt 70,000 aanhangers had geteld, veel steun. Een tv-documentaire over een liefdesaffaire tussen die Leier – die getrouwd was en een dochter had – en een liberale journaliste, kon er voor een groot deel van zijn diepgelovige achterban (foto 1) niet in.
Terre'Blanche werd veroordeeld wegens geweldplegingen of poging tot moord. Enkele keren ontsprong hij de dans, omdat de straf voorwaardelijk was of omdat hij amnestie kreeg. Uiteindelijk moest hij toch drie jaar effectief de gevangenis in voor de aanranding op een werknemer.
Toen hij terugkeerde, stelde zijn beweging niet veel meer voor. Vorig jaar zei hij dat hij de Verenigde Naties wilde verzoeken een republiek voor blanke Afrikaners op te richten. Behalve enkele honderden volgelingen nam niemand hem nog serieus.
Vanuit Vlaanderen werden rouwbetuigingen naar Zuid-Afrika gestuurd door onder meer Yves Pernet (Voorpost) en Olaf Evrard (VB-gemeenteraadslid in Nevele). De scholieren van het NJSV plaatsten een huldeblijk voor Terre’Blanche (foto 2) op hun website. Het zal in Zuid-Afrika allemaal ongetwijfeld diepe indruk maken.
ntussen zitten de voorstanders van het apartheidsregime hier met de handen in het haar omwille van een oproep van AWB’ers om niet naar Zuid-Afrika te komen tijdens het wereldkampioenschap voetbal dat daar van 11 juni tot 11 juli plaatsvindt.
De AWB’ers willen niet dat men naar “het land van de moord” zou komen. Niet dat daar veel gehoor aan zal gegeven worden, maar de aanhangers van de apartheid hier zagen in het wereldkampioenschap voetbal de kans om contacten te leggen met de blanken in Zuid-Afrika. Moeten zij nu hun vrienden ginder steunen of tegen hun vrienden ginder in promoten om naar Zuid-Afrika te trekken?
- In Nederland zijn alvast T-shirts te koop aangeboden waarop het Wilhelmus naar het Afrikaans is vertaald (foto 3, klik eenmaal op de afbeelding om de “t-hempen” in een groter formaat te zien). Het is een initiatief van een politiek vrije onderneming; de vertaling is van de Nederlandse paleoconservatief en bestrijder van multiculturele samenlevingen Marcel Bas. De twee jongeren die Terre’Blanche vorige week vermoord hebben zijn intussen al een eerste keer voor de rechtbank verschenen; de Zuid-Afrikaanse politie is massaal gemobiliseerd voor de begrafenis van Terre’Blanche. And why is the ANC-alliance paying the Terre’Blanche murder suspects’ legal fees?
QUESTIONS have been raised about the time AWB leader Eugene Terre’Blanche was killed, the Dispatch can reveal. Police said that Terre’Blanche was killed on Saturday at around 6pm – bludgeoned to death in his bed – but new claims suggest the crime could have taken place far earlier. COPE spokesman Philip Dexter says the trial now has taken on a potentially divisive political tonewith the alliance paying for the legal costs: (YCL statement). “This sends out the wrong message to South Africans as the ruling alliance has effectively signaled that it will defend, with all the vast resources at its disposal, anyone who kills a prominent white person,” said Dexter.
The Dispatch ( eddieb@dispatch.co.za ) has meanwhile also established that Terre’Blanche had no plans to stay at the farm that illfated Saturday night – and had, in fact, called his family to say he was preparing to return to his Ventersdorp house to spend the long weekend with them. Entire report
- These new claims raise questions about how he came to be attacked in his bed at the Ventersdorp farm. He writes that SAPS spokeswomann Adele Myburgh was not available for comment on the claims.
He quotes Ventersdorp paramedics chief Robert van Heerden, who went to the farm after being called shortly before 7pm, and who confirmed that Terre’Blanche had been dead for quite some time when he first saw him. Although he said that he could not comment, he added: “All I can say is that the scene, which I saw, did not make any sense. “If you murder your wife, would you call the police on her cellphone and say: ‘I killed her, come and fetch me’? “It makes you wonder.”
Also quoted: the Reverend Ferdie Devenier of the Evangeliese Gereformeerde Kerk (Evangelical Reformed Church), a good friend of Terre’Blanche and who will conduct the funeral service, who said the AWB leader could have been killed as early as 3pm. “I spoke to the paramedic who arrived on the scene later that evening and he said when he saw Eugene for the first time his body had already been cold. At that time he could have been dead already for about three hours.”
He said when the paramedic arrived on the scene, the police were already there and the two suspects, who have since been charged, were in the back of the police van. “They (the police) had not yet gone into the house. They told the paramedic they were scared of the dogs,” he claimed.
Moreover -- Terre’Blanche’s plans to spend the night in Ventersdorp were also revealed to the Dispatch by the Reverend Armond van Zyl of the Afrikaanse Protestantse Kerk (Afrikaans Protestant Church) in Ventersdorp, who broke the news of the right-wing leader’s death to his wife Martie and their daughter Bea late on Saturday evening.
- Van Zyl yesterday said that Terre’Blanche’s wife had told him she had spoken to her husband earlier that day. He was on his farm Villanna – meaning ‘the home of Anna’ – and had told her he was coming home later that afternoon. Van Zyl said he was enjoying a quiet evening at home on Saturday when he received a call from Ben Greyling, whose farm borders Terre’Blanche’s farm. “He asked me to convey the message of her husband’s death to Mrs Terre’Blanche,” said Van Zyl, who arrived at the Terre’Blanche house at about 9pm.“At first, because there had been so many false alarms in the past, the news did not fully sink in with her and it was only later, when people started coming to the house, that she must have realised it.”
Van Zyl, from whose church the slain right-wing leader will be buried tomorrow at noon, said he stayed with the family for a couple of hours. Later, he drove to Terre’Blanche’s brother Andries’ farm near Coligny but he had already heard the news and, by then, was on his way to his brother’s farm. Rev Devenier said immediately after hearing that Terre’Blanche had been beaten to death with pipes and pangas, he drove from Carletonville to Ventersdorp to assist the family .
- “I have since seen her (his wife) on a couple of occasions. She is very emotional, more so after she had been told of the extent of Eugene’s injuries.”
Devenier said he had seen Terre’Blanche about three weeks ago and spoke to him on the phone a fortnight ago. “He did not mention anything that may have bothered him. He used to sleep over on the farm every second night. But on Saturday he intended to go back to his wife at their Ventersdorp house.

“Small white minority blamed for ANC shortcomings” -- statement by the South African Institute of Race Relations on the ramifications of the killing of Eugène Terre'Blanche
Dr Frans Cronje writes : “The Institute desisted from issuing a formal statement in the immediate aftermath of the killing of Mr Terre'Blanche in order to first gauge the broader social, political, and international reaction to the killing. The Institute is now in a position to make the following points. Racial tensions in the country appear to have increased significantly in recent weeks.
These racial tensions appear to be chiefly as a result of incitement by the ruling African National Congress to ‘shoot and kill’ the Afrikaner ethnic minority in the country. The anxiety around this incitement may well have influenced opinions across the broader white community. What appears to be the case is that much of the racial rapprochement that characterised the first 15 years of South Africa’s democracy is being undone. This rapprochement saw both black and white South Africans come to occupy a middle ground on race relations upon which the maintenance of future stable race relations depends.
Since 1994 the number of white farmers and their families murdered in South Africa is conservatively put at around 1000. It may very well be much higher. There are currently an estimated 40,000 commercial farmers in the country.
Rampant criminal violence:
Over this same period in the region 250,000 South Africans out of a total current population of approximately 47 million have been murdered. Criminal violence can therefore be described as ‘rampant’ and has done considerable damage to the social fabric of the country.
- However, this is not to say that all murders in the country are a function of simple criminal banditry. In an environment where law and order has largely collapsed the consequences of incitement by political leaders to commit murder must be taken seriously.
Over the same period the policy measures put in place by the Government to raise the living standards of the black majority have failed to meet expectations. The key interventions of affirmative action and black economic empowerment have been exploited by the African National Congress to build a network of patronage that has made elements of its leadership extremely wealthy. The party also appears to have been so overwhelmed by corrupt tendencies that it is no longer able to act decisively against corrupt behaviour.
It has also through incompetence and poor policy been unable to address failures in the education system which are now the primary factor retarding the economic advancement of black South Africans.
- At the same time the party is acutely aware that its support base of poor black South Africans has begun to turn against it. Violent protest action against the ruling party is now commonplace around the country.
Small white minority blamed for ANC shortcomings:
In order to shore up support in the black community the ANC increasingly appears to be seeking to shift the blame for its delivery failures onto the small white ethnic minority, which today comprises well under 10% of the total population of South Africa. Here parallels may be read to the behaviour of Zanu-PF in Zimbabwe when that party realised that its political future was in peril. The ANC Youth League’s recent visit to Zanu-PF which saw it endorse that party’s ruinous polices are pertinent here.
- In such an environment it is plausible to consider that the ANC’s exhortations to violence may be a contributing factor to the killing of Mr Terre'Blanche. Certainly the ANC’s protestations to the contrary seem ridiculous as the party is in effect saying that its followers pay no attention to what it says - this from a party that routinely claims that it is the manifestation of the will of all black South Africans. This is not to say that a labour dispute or some other matter could not have inflamed tensions on the Terre'Blanche farm. Rather it is to say that a number of different matters should be considered in determining the motivation for the crime.
Certainly the ANC’s exhortations to violence have created a context where the killings of white people will see a degree of suspicion falling around the party and its supporters.
It is of concern therefore that the police’s senior management are on record as saying that they will not consider a political motive or partial motive for the killing of Mr Terre'Blanche. This suggests an early effort to cover up the ANC’s possible culpability for inciting the crime.
- Should any allegations of a political cover-up arise in the pending murder trial of the two young men accused of the Terre'Blanche murder the political consequences could be significant.
- Should evidence be led that the two young men acted with what they understood to be the tacit backing of the ANC, and a causal link between their actions and incitement by the ANC be established, then the possibility of charging the ANC’s senior leadership in connection to the murder arises.
Equally plausible is that the Terre'Blanche family and the Afrikaner Weerstandsbeweging could bring a civil suit against the ANC and the Government.
It is possible that the killing of Mr Terre'Blanche will greatly strengthen the hand of a new hardened right wing in South Africa. In life Mr Terre'Blanche attracted a small, uninfluential, and extremist following. He will not be mourned for what he stood for. However, in death he may come to represent the experiences of scores of minority groups in the country who perceive themselves as being on the receiving end of racist and now also violent abuse from the ANC. In effect therefore Mr Terre'Blanche may be seen as having been martyred for a minority cause in the country.
The implications of a resurgent right wing will be numerous.
- It is most unlikely that this right wing will take the form of camouflage clad henchmen on horses in shows of force.
The ANC has also often, wrongly, identified groups including the political opposition, Afriforum, agricultural unions, and even this Institute as ‘the right wing’. This silly ‘red under every bed’ attitude in the ANC saw it lose the trust of many civil society and political groups. These groups could all be defined first and foremost by the common belief that they had to act within the bounds of what the Constitution prescribed.
But the ANC belittled and undermined them. It also undermined parliament, the national prosecution service, and the various human rights and other organisations that were established under the Constitution. It may yet usurp the independence of the courts and the judiciary. The result was a shutting down of many of the democratic channels that were created for citizens in the country to make the Government aware of their concerns and circumstances.
The resurgence of a new political consciousness among minorities could drive an altogether different political force. Such a movement will draw its strength chiefly from a hardening attitudes in the white community but perhaps also in the Indian and coloured communities. These will be views that in the main have come to subscribe to some or all of the following points:
- That the Government has corrupted and debilitated many of the country’s internal democratic processes for political or civil expression that were established under the Constitution
- That cooperation with the current Government of South Africa is therefore fundamentally unfeasible and therefore futile
- That the Government is unable to restore law and order in the country
- That the Government is therefore unable protect its citizens
- That the Government has a hostile agenda against minority groups
However it is equally, if not most likely, that many minorities who subscribe to the five points above may simply get so fed up that those who can will pack up and go.
The minorities will calmly board aircraft for Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the USA and Great Britain… taking their tax-base with them….
Here they may take the advice of President Zuma to remain calm as they pack up their businesses and their families and calmly board aircraft for Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the United States, and Great Britain.
- With the exodus will leave much of the tax and expertise base of the country.
Should the ANC, however, find itself facing increased political resistance it will in many respects have a tiger by the tail.
- Firstly, the ANC depends greatly on the tax income paid by white South Africans to balance South Africa’s books.
- Secondly, it depends entirely on the food produced by a small number of white farmers to feed the country.
- Thirdly, white South Africans still dominate the skills base of the country.
- Finally, and most importantly, much white opinion since the early 1990s has been moderate. White South Africa has been willing and often eager to cooperate with the Government in building an open, non-racial, and prosperous South Africa.
Losing that cooperation will to an extent put an end to any serious chance that the ANC has of leading South Africa to become a successful and prosperous democracy.
While the ANC will be inclined to blame whites for this, and may even take drastic action to confiscate white commercial interests as they are currently doing in agriculture, these actions will be ruinous for the economy. The result of such ruin will be to drive a deeper wedge between the ANC and its traditional support base and thereby hasten the political decay of the party.
When General Constand Viljoen decided to throw his lot in with democracy in the early 1990s the right wing in South Africa was a spent force. So it should and could have remained. The ANC could have taken advantage of white expertise and tax revenue to realise their own vision of a better life for all. Things have however gone badly wrong for the party. Corruption has destroyed its ability to meet the demands of its constituents while racial bigotry has now seen it defending its image against what should have been an insignificant and dying neo-Nazi faction in the country.
The failure of sensible South Africans to take back the racial middle ground in the country will be serious. Polarisation will beget further racial conflict and a hardening of attitudes on all sides. This is perhaps the greatest leadership test that the current Government has faced and it is one that they cannot afford to fail.
