Marshall family of Hartbeespoort survives 2-hr attack by eight men

HARTBEESPOORT, Gauteng. April 19 2010 – Stilll bruised, battered and traumatised after her family’s two-hour torture-ordeal at the hands of eight black attackers last Tuesday ( April 13 2010) at 9.15, Mrs Hester Marshall, (52) today received a terrifying series of cellphone and SMS messages warning her that ‘they will be back’ and that they are ‘on their way’. Mrs Marshall told Radio Pretoria in a telephone interview at 17:30 today the family – which runs a two-storey guest house – was attacked by eight young black males who all carried handguns and had broken in through the window downstairs, where her husband was seated. They immediately beat him unconscious and tied him up.
Then they started beating, kicking and verbally abusing Mrs Marshall, beating her so hard ‘that the blood spattered’, she told Radio Pretoria. At one point one pulled down her pants – but one younger man then stopped them, she said.
“They kept on beating me, demanding to know where the safe was. I told them we don’t have a safe so they kept on beating me,’ she said. Their eleven-year-old son then told them to stop beating his mother, even though the youngster was terrified himself, and said he would ‘give them anything they asked for, just stop beating up on my mother.’ Mrs Marshall: ‘he even gave them my diamond ring and that probably saved our lives. They demanded money and valuables and my son told them our money was in the bank, and handed them all the cards and all the security codes,’ she said. Then they beat up the boy (not named in the interview), warning him that if he had given them the wrong codes ‘they would be back’.
She said one of the young black male attackers did speak some Afrikaans – and he also was the one who also beat her the hardest. She believed that the other men all were probably Zimbabweans – they all yelled at her in English.

Ironically, she had attended the funeral of murdered Brits farmer Koos van Staden (left) just the previous week – and told Radio Pretoria she “couldn’t believe that this could ever happen to her”.
No shots were fired during their ordeal. However Mrs Marshall told the men repeatedly that they could beat her but that the Lord would not let them kill her. “I was being beaten black and blue and then one of the younger men gave me a rag to clean myself up with and warned me quietly to ‘keep quiet, they will kill you.’ They were then given pillows to lie on and were tied up.
After the men took their valuables, cards and other goods they fled in the family’s brand-new car, she said. Shortly afterwards she managed to cut them all lose from their bonds and the mother and son jumped off the balcony and started screaming for the neighbours to come and help them. Help soon arrived and many neighbours have been visiting them regularly to bring food and comfort ever since, she said.
This morning she started receiving cellphone and SMS messages such as “It’s your last warning, you must give me your work,’ and ‘we will be back,’ and ‘we are on our way.’ “There’s no way I am going to sleep in this house tonight, we have warned the police.”
She also praised her son for his outstanding courage. “He was scared and yet still so brave, telling them: ‘ask me anything we will give it to you’, and when he gave them the diamond ring that saved our lives,’ she concluded.

Attacked Suna Steenberg still survives after two headshots in smallholding attack, Kameelfontein Pretoria
Mev. Suna Steenberg, who was given two execution-style headshots on Friday April 16 2010 by two attackers at the Montana Pale construction business the family runs at the Kameelfontein smallholdings north-east of Pretoria, is still surviving in the Montana Hospital’s intensive care unit, reports Beeld newspaper today.
Mrs Steenberg, 45, was shot while the attackers held her mother-in-law 75, hostage. Her husband Jurie also was shot in the leg. The attackers fled without taking anything and no-one has been arrested. Two weeks earlier eighteen-year-old home-student Ernst Hoon was also shot dead at an adjacent smallholding – while asleep in his bed. Mass protest of 2000 farmers and workers brings Brits to standstill

Verteenwoordigers van SABC TV, radiostasies, Citizen, Sowetan, Sun en ander nasionale koerante het almal kameras geflits, mikrofone vorentoe gebring en notas gemaak toe ‘n skare van om en by 2 000 boere, gewone inwoners, plaaswerkers en belangstellendes gisteroggend deur Brits met plakkate omhoog, ‘n klagskrif aan die plaaslike Stasiebevelvoerder, Brigadier Mokhele Seboloke oorhandig het. Vooraan die vreedsame optog was ‘n trekker en sleepwa agter met drie kiste daarop as simbool van die landelike gemeenskap se bekommernis oor die moorde op veral boere.
“Stop die misdaad, stop die verkragtings, stop die plaasmoorde” was die kreet van protesteerders en onder hulle was baie swart mense. Ma’s het kinders in stootwaentjies deur die strate gestoot as deel van die optog vanaf die sportterrein tot by die polisiekantoor ingang in Kerkstraat, skoolkinders het langs hulle ouers gestap, die oues van dae is in ‘n bus vervoer, almal met dieselfde boodskap. “Ons is gatvol!” het een van die mans uitgeroep. Ds Berto Boshoff, self ‘n boer en Voorsitter van die Bosvledwag, gemeenskapsleier en organiseerder van Woensdag se optog, het aan MadibengPulse gesê dat die opmars geen politieke doel het nie. “Dis ‘n gemeenskapsaksie, almal is bekommerd oor misdaad,” het hy gesê. Plaaswerkers en ander werkers is selfs meer weerloos as die meeste boere want hulle het nie alarmstelsels of sekuriteits maatskappye wat hulle beskerm nie, sê hy. Die uitnodigings aan alle belangstellendes om aan die optog deel te neem, is weerspieël deur gemengde massa wat op televise gewys is. Vanuit die sleepwa aan die voorpunt van die optog het Ds Boshoff Woensdagoggend sy klagskrif aan senior lede van die plaaslike SAPD oorgedra. Dit lees as volg:

We love South Africa and want help, and want to help to show it. We want help and want to help to stop crime and criminals hurting our people in every community. Crime and criminals destroy the face of a beautiful South Africa: Crime and criminals are causing the brain drain to go on, the number of farmers to decline, the number of cattle to decline. The murder of farmers is causing a threat to food security, farm workers who lose their jobs, young people not to farm. Crime and criminals are causing stressed relations between races.
“In conclusion we hear, read, see and experience serious crime every day. In our community numerous people were hurt and seriously injured. Criminals also took a number of lives of farmers and farm workers.
“We want Government and the SAPS to intervene as a matter of urgency. We want Government and the SAPS leadership to help see that police stations, especially the Brits SAPS get the support and resources they need. They are in desperate need of vehicles and a radio system. There is only one vehicle for crime prevention in the greater Brits/ Madibeng area consisting of four sectors. Good and working dedicated policemen can’t do their job without the necessary resources.
“We are going to support the SAPS in any way we can. “We love South Africa and we want it to be a safe place for every honest working citizen to live in peace.”

In antwoord, het Brigadier Seboloke namens die Noordwes Hoof van Polisie, Generaal Beetha die memorandum ontvang. Hy het die gemeenskap se bekommernisse erken asook hulle duidelike voornemens om saam met die polisie teen hulle gemeenskaplike vyand, misdaad, te baklei:

Before I begin (on my discourse about survival and change) let me make a point: I doubt white South Africans will become physically extinct. That is, even if a full-scale slaughter of whites occurs in South Africa, the outcome will not result in the complete extermination of all white human beings. In all fairness, a sudden burst of madness directed at the full-scale extermination of whites would be more humane than the slow, painful interludes of madness they now endure; either method leads to the same outcome.
Laymen are not aware that the same amount of energy produced by exploding a stick of dynamite is produced by burning a piece of wood. The difference between the two is simply a matter of duration: Dynamite rapidly releases its energy while a piece of burning wood lumbers along, releasing an equal amount of energy over a longer period of time. The end-product of rapid and slow combustion is the same: The conversion of a substance from solid, to liquid to gas to extinction. White South Africans have been enduring the lumbering process of their extinction. They are at all times lingering between the liquid and gaseous phases – almost but not quite ready for ignition but certainly heading in that direction.

One wonders what it takes to awaken a culture composed of vulnerable human beings to the fact they are facing extinction? The ‘survivor study’ discussed the fact that survivors face the frailty of their existence with candor.
- They tend to abhor the idea that their survival is dependent upon someone else. They are realists; as such they examine reality in the absence of immature and misguided thoughts that could and would mean their demise when their existence is challenged.
The slow extinction of white South Africans is almost but not quite endurable, I suppose. In no little sense of the idea, most white South Africans are gambling with their lives, betting the odds they will not become another victim of calculated hate. There is some hope, too, that when and if the madness of the thing known as Uhuru occurs there will be someone from somewhere who will save them.
They cling to the childish belief that the world is yet filled with enough decency to prevent something like Uhuru from occurring. I, for one, would not bet my life on those beliefs – As difficult a proposition as this may be, the moral substance of the world has changed and those changes do not bode well for the long-term survival of a white culture in an increasingly dark world.

‘White South Africans should know: a black American president will not forgive or forget historic flaws…’
“For white South Africans the arrival of Barack Obama may seem to be nothing more than an odd outcome to a troubled nation’s soul. By electing a black president many whites believed the past would be rectified, that some sort of a purification of errors would occur and all would be forgiven -They were terribly wrong. “
He writes on:
“Barack Obama has no intention of forgiving or forgetting histories flaws – Or I should say, the contribution the white race made to history’s flaws (all other cultures and races excluded.) Barack Obama’s idealized version of correcting history is seen in the upcoming saga of the ‘dark continent’ as he advocates for a re-definition of that continent’s history without the concept of ‘white’ being attached.
In his “Dreams from My Father” book, (Ieft) Obama discusses his loyalty to the ANC on page 105, 280 and elsewhere. Obama's chapter titled, 'Kenya' describes his disdain for western culture, the poisonous nature of 'whites' in the 'pure continent of Africa' and the absolute need for blacks to define their future without white interference. My point of reference is unapologetic: Barack Obama is the most dangerous entity this world has ever known.
In his chapter "Kenya" - Obama notes, "The white man alone is like an ant - He can be easily crushed." That lone observation froze my heart when I first read it. Obama goes on to note white man's capacity to unify - an interesting observation given the ongoing disunity that allows whites to be crushed one ant at a time.
It is my viewpoint that the South African model provides insight for all civilized countries that place their fortunes in the hands of ill-qualified men and women whose single point of focus is how to expeditiously disempower then eliminate whites "by any means necessary".
It is tragic that Obama’s path to the white house failed to include an examination of his attitude towards ‘white’ or, better still, his attitude towards ‘white South Africans’. Given the fact that any mention of black attitudes or black behaviors by the ‘white devil’ invariably leads to accusations of racism – mostly by white predators – Obama’s ascension to the white house was lubricated with falsehoods, lies and denial. For white South Africans, Obama’s election is nothing less than the symbolic construction of gas chambers, gulags, death camps and extermination – All in due time.
Obama was/is a strong supporter of the ANC. One of his role models, besides (black-muslim leader) Malcolm X, is Nelson Mandela. Obama’s passion to free black South Africans from the ‘white devil’ moved with him throughout his college career and is now often at the center of his administration’s desire to ‘right world history by any means necessary’.
“Obama’s recent public meeting with Zuma was far more than a diplomatic tete a tete: It was an open acknowledgement of Obama’s dedication to ‘all things black’ and his endorsement that ‘anything goes’ when it comes to ‘white folks’ in South Africa. Make no mistake about it: Obama knows what is going on in South Africa; hell, Obama is one of the fomenters of what is going on in South Africa. White South Africans who believe that Obama will use the moral authority of the United States to halt a racial explosion in South Africa are terribly mistaken.
Obama, after all, is ‘the world leader’. As we have seen he chooses to exercise his moral authority when it is popular to do so – In other words, when it gains him favor with his followers. Had Obama chosen to do so, he could have and would have publicly acknowledged the troubling racial situation in South Africa. What better time to apply racial ‘fairness’ than when Zuma stood next to him in the Oval Office?
The author continues: “Obama depends on the illusion that he is is deeply concerned with man’s inhumanity to man – Through his State Department, through Hillary Clinton, he lets the world know he is unhappy with the slightest indication that some form of injustice is occurring. Such is the illusion of his ‘moral purpose’. I see none of that ‘moral purpose’ flowing from the Obama White House when it comes to issues involving ‘white South Africans’.
In fact, Obama’s main objection to Robert Mugabe, for instance, has nothing to do with Mugabe’s attitude towards ‘white’ and everything to do with Mugabe’s reluctance to give poor blacks land – No matter where that land comes from.
“Until the murder of (AWB-leader) Eugene Terre’Blanche, most efforts to awaken white South Africans to their pending extinction have had little or no affect on their behavior. It is good and right that the conversation has turned to a realistic appraisal of conditions rather than lingering in suspended animation or wishful thinking. Yes, folks, conditions have changed and you have to change with them,” he writes.
“Obama will do nothing to help white South Africans”
“One of the changes you face must be your full understanding that Obama will do nothing, nothing, to help you. In fact, his State Department, military and other resources will linger in limbo just long enough - and with enough political stealth - to allow the process of your extinction to continue until and when the world is shocked to learn that, “My gosh, did you hear about all those white people who were murdered in South Africa?”
Your history is etched in stone whether you want it to be or not: The plane you are in is spiraling towards the ground; the ship you are in is sinking; the forest fire is lapping at your doors; the brakes on your car have failed – And you, alone, must decide what it is you will do to survive.
According to the ‘survivor study’ there is one other aspect survivors share: They do not believe there will be anyone there to save them when the moment comes their lives are threatened.
- They know they will be ‘on their own’. They shed the illusion that something miraculous will occur because they know that God has already endowed them with the miracle of a thing called ‘the will to survive’. They know God will not plow the garden or remove the weeds – That duty is theirs. They understand that God’s miracle is seen in a tiny seed that sprouts and grows then becomes fruit. But without proper planning, labor or understanding even the most vital seed will perish.
“If you’re looking for moral rightness from Obama or other parts of the world as part of your survival package, to nurture your garden, you are making a fatal mistake. You are alone. South Africa is your garden to nurture; the future of your seed is in your hands to nurture or perish. “
