Charles Baty, 72, injured in Witrivier attack

Charles Baty plays the bagpipes in the well-known Stevenson Hamilton Pipe Band in the Lowveld: he was attacked on June 18 2010 in his home – and now is fighting for his life in hospital with serious hatchet-injuries to the head:
2010-06-18 Buks Viljoen of Beeld newspaper reports that 72-year-old bagpipe enthusiast Charles Baty – who was all set to emigrate to join his family in the USA – sustained serious head-injuries in a hatchet-attack and reportedly in serious condition in hospital.

The old man was found in serious condition by a friend who stopped in for a visit at 4pm at his Magalies Street home. The friend was alerted that something was wrong when he saw the backdoor and security gates wide-open, said SAPS colonel Erhard Ströh, chief of the local police. The friend found Batty lying in a puddle of blood in his home’s hallway – unconscious. He also had ‘serious scratch-marks to his head’.
The last time Mr Baty was seen was when he was at a church in town at around 1pm. Nelspruit medi-clinic spokeswoman Ms. Robyn Baard, said he was in ‘a very serious condition. Brain-scans were carried out on him and at the time of going to press a local neurosurgeon was still attending to him”.
Baty’s children reportedly already moved to the USA and he was planning to emigrate soon to join them, friends said.

2010-06-18 Johannesburg - The case against Nelson Maphosa and Gerald Nyantumbo, the two Mozambican builders who stand accused of beating one-year-old Marzanne Kruger and her minder Francina Sekhu on April 22 2010 - was postponed on Friday to July 26 by the Johannesburg Magistrate's Court. The men were remanded in custody. Bail was denied them during an earlier hearing in May. Baby Kruger was left blind by the brutal assault.

State prosecutor Talitha Louw requested a postponement for further investigation. "There is an outstanding suspect in this case. We are still waiting for DNA and fingerprint reports which are also still outstanding," she told the court.
Picture: Marizaan Kruger – aged one, just beginning to walk -- was so badly battered that her skull was crushed and she fell into a coma from which she only recovered weeks later: but she was blind. Mrs Sekhu recovered well shortly after the assault, reportedly sitting up in her hospital bed and chatting to family members.
Louw was referring to the international SAPS alert which was issued for the arrest of Mozambiquan builder Chakhoma Machaba, who allegedly fled to Mozambique. The two countries do not have extradiction treaties. Interpol reported in May that they had arrested the man. The SAPS investigators believe that it was Machama, 28. who had allegedly bashed the Afrikaans baby Marizaan Kruger, 1, during a so-called ‘armed robbery’ at the child’s Robindale, Randburg home on April 22 2010. The investigation revealed that the child’s ‘trusted carer’ Francina Sethu, right, had actually let Machaba into the Kruger home a day earlier as well as on the day the baby was nearly killed. She was also bashed about but recovered very quickly. Interpol claims that they know the whereabouts of the suspect in Mozambique.

The baby girl – who had just celebrated her first birthday two days earlier and had just started to take her first steps – was bashed so viciously that it was found that she was blind when she emerged from a three-week coma.
The SAPS revealed that on April 22 2010 at around midday this ‘trusted’ boyfriend – described as a ‘powerfully-built man who should be approached with great caution -- sat watching TV in the lounge of Mrs Sekhu’s employers. invited by his girlfriend. As they sat watching TV, another two Mozambiquan males walked into the front door…
An hour later, when Marizaan's mother Madelein arrived home from work, Machaba and his comrades had fled, the Afrikaans baby lay bleeding from the head, nose and ears and had to be resuscitated three times enroute to hospital – and her carer Mrs Sekhu was a bruised, bloodied heap on the kitchen floor.
She recovered quickly: however the baby was bashed so badly that she fell into a coma after Machaba had let inside two fellow-Mozambiquans. There was no reason whatsoever to assault the defenceless baby and her unarmed carer.
Ms Sekhu, who according to the SAPS investigators, had apparently opened the door for the attackers, was reportedly facing a discliplinary hearing in front of the Commission for Conciliation, Mediatiion and Arbitration – which is required before the child-carer can be dismissed from the Kruger family’s service, said the family lawyer Pieter van R Coetzee. http://www.iol.co.za/index.php?set_id=1&click_id=13&art_id=vn20100427042549182C490119&singlepage=1

- June 19 2010 - Two (now- former) Asian-South African policemen accused of shooting dead four unarmed Afrikaner men in a pub in KZN will know their fate on September 27, they heard in the Durban High Court yesterday. Brian Steven and his brother Leon stand accused of shooting dead Shawn Strydom, Nick Jansen van Rensburg, Rory Menzies and Bruce Edwards at the Merseyside Pub in Umbilo, Durban, on September 10, 2008. Brian's lawyer, Jay Naidoo, said the brothers “had acted in self-defence”. Originally, five “South African-Indian” men - including two local on-duty police officers -- were arrested after the ‘gruesome slaughterhouse massacre’ at an Umbilo, Durban restaurant.
- The men were arrested by a special police task-force because two of the accused were on-duty police officers who had become involved in an allegedly racist execution-style shooting, and were first charged on November 13 2008 at the Durban Magistrate's court. The crime scene was described by the restaurant's security guards as a 'gruesome slaughterhouse' and the patrons of the pub and the adjacent restaurants owners and patrons were left deeply traumatised and needed trauma-treatment after the massacre. Umbilo is a primarily 'white-' dominated suburb in KwaZulu-Natal. It was also said to be ‘very unusual for Muslim men to visit this pub’. However there they were – and one had followed one Afrikaner into the toilets and taunted him about his penis-size. The men had a stand-up row outside the restaurant and then the muslim men left, while the Afrikaners went back inside to finish watching their football game. However a short time later the muslim men returned: the two cops had gone home to fetch their service weapons and walked up to the group of Afrikaner men and started gunning them down one by one.
- Charged were SAPS Inspector Samuel Steven, 39, of Point police station; his brother SAPS Police Inspector Leon Steven, 33, of Mayville police station; local residents Naeem Sadick, 22; Nithanandan Ganess, 37, and Julian Naidoo, 33; who ‘stood confidently in the dock” the news media wrote at the time. Murdered family man Menzies leaves four orphaned children:
Journalist Kamini Padayachee of the Natal Mercury newspaper Kamini.padayachee@inl.co.za interviewed relatives of one of the three Afrikaners who were murdered, noting that Menzies was a widower-father of four children who were left orphaned and that the children, aged from 13 to 21 years, were devastated by his death. "The children lost their mother to illness a short while ago and now they are orphans. They are all very traumatised." 2009-06-06 Andries Pieters, kicked into a coma by four Pakistani-SA men after Steve Hofmeyr concert, Brakpan
JOHANNESBURG, South Africa. June 6 2009. Andries Pieters, manager at Imperial Bank and a former Transvaal rugby-player, pictured with wife Lizette and son Keanu (5), was kicked into a coma by Mohammed Jabban (21), Raadhil Omar (19), Naheed Khan (21) and Nihal Khan (18), shortly after the unarmed Afrikaner, his wife and two friends left a concert by Afrikaner-activist singer Steve Hofmeyr at Carnival City casino in Brakpan on June 6 2009. http://jv.news24.com/Beeld/Suid-Afrika/0,,3-975_2527856,00.html
The casino’s security cameras recorded the vicious attack on the unarmed Afrikaner and the subsequent arrests by guards from the Casino. Yolanda Bester, spokeswoman of the casino, said the security guards rushed out when they realised that a serious assault was taking place, stopped the assault, captured the four attackers, and handed them over to the SAPS. Many witnesses reported that the Pakistani attackers had deliberately taunted the Afrikaners as they were leaving the concert.
Police superintendent Sefako Xaba of Gauteng said the charges against the four “Pakistani” men, Mohammed Jabban (21), Raadhil Omar (19), Naheed Khan (21) and Nihal Khan (18) were changed from culpible assault to murder after Mr Pieters died in hospital on Monday – he was declared brain-dead and the life-support machines were turned off.
Ten days later, on June 16 2009 the four accused murderers were released on R10,000 bail. Their advocate Zehir Omar told the court the men “could not be charged with murder because it was the switching off of life-support machines, not their attack on Pieters, that caused his death. The doctors and the family who decided a day later to switch off the machine, are the people who caused the death and who should be considered the murderers of Pieters.”

Alan Roberts was stabbed to death inside a Northdene, Queensburgh restaurant on December 31 2005. Roberts had taken his wife and daughters to the restaurant to see in the New year. His wife and daughters were dancing when a gang of six Indians started sexually harassing them.
They walked away to another dance floor elsewhere in the restaurant, but the drunken muslims followed them. Alan, while seated at his table, then witnessed one of them grabbing the crotch of his teenage daughter (Bianca, 12) and confronted them, upon which they drew knives and stabbed the hapless white father to death in front of his family.

Leigh Matthews, a wealthy English-speaking white South AFrican, the 21 year old daughter of Rob and Sharon Matthews was abducted on 9 July 2004 by a Muslim man, Donovan Moodley from the campus of Bond University in Sandton north of Johannesburg.
Moodley demanded (and received) a ransom of R 50,000 after which he humiliated the gorgeous girl by having her strip naked – and then cold-bloodedly shot her dead execution style. Mathilda Sinden, a white Afrikaner girl from Witpoortjie on the West Rand who got married to the Indian Erefaan Khan she'd met on an SMS dating service – and changed her name to the Muslim “Malika” after her marriage in Cape Town – was forced to flee after he became violent and abusive, returning to her parents' home. Khan pursued her, robbing and murdering her by strangulation and stabbing her fifteen times on the floor of her parent’s home in January 2005. Khan was arrested but it is unknown what, if any, outcome of the trial was;
The co-murderers of Bridget Cairns, 70 - Cassandra De Vos (22), and her husband, the Indian-South African Liyaqath “Lee” Ahroon (29) who in a remarkable similarity to the Mathilda Sinden case, was another ehite Afrikaner girl who married an Indian Muslim. They lived in a garden cottage on the Parkmore, Sandton premises of white English-speaking South African pensioner Bridget Cairns. Cairns became upset at the filth and squalor in the garden cottage, as well as their repeated failure to pay rent.
Cairns also became aware that items were being stolen from her home. She confronted them, after which the multi-racial couple decided to murder the old woman. In October 2006, they attacked the 70 year old Mrs Cairns and savagely beat her to death. Next, they shoved her into her car’s boot and drove about 200 km to a spot outside Evander in the Eastern Transvaal. Here, they poured petrol over her and burned her. They drove to another spot about 1km away and then set fire to the woman’s car. On 20 January 2006, Lauren Sleep and her friend Liesel Schoonwinkel stayed over at a cottage rented by work colleague Chad Khan in Pretoria West. All three were employees of Rovos Rail. Lauren was in a sexual relationship with Khan.
At some point, Lauren and Khan had a spirited argument. Khan then left the two women but returned much later that night and tried to have sex with Lauren. She rebuffed him, after which he raped and murdered her.
- Next, he went to the room where Liesel Schoonwinkel was sleeping and tried to rape her as well. She resisted, after which Khan savagely stabbed her and tried to slit her throat. She miraculously survived.
Khan then went on the run, and in spite of the families of Liesel and Lauren hiring private investigators to track him down, nothing new has been recorded about this case since. There is speculation that Khan is hiding in Swaziland or Malawi and is being assisted by members of his family.
His father was a local Independent Democrats councillor in Pretoria. Since Lauren's murder, Marilyn said they have had to call the police for updates in the case. And as the months have passed, those calls became fewer as their confidence in the police diminished. Shortly after Lauren's murder, the Sleeps hired private investigator Ettienne Groenewald to apprehend Khan.
Groenewald tracked Khan to Swaziland and Malawi. It was thought that Khan had slipped across the border with the help of an aunt, a disguise and a false passport. There was at least one raid on a house in Swaziland, but Khan wasn't found. Groenewald attempted to broker a deal with Khan's family, but it fell through and the hunt fizzled out.
"Regarding the private investigator, we came to a point where we had to say 'enough'. Jawaad Abubaker, Ishen Naidoo and youth arrested for stalking, gang-raping white women in Fourways
In August 2008 in Fourways, near the elite suburb of Sandton north of Johannesburg, three muslim-Indians stalked white women in the car parks of Fourways (Sandton) shopping centres. They would grab a white woman as she walked to her car, abduct her, gangrape her elsewhere and then dump her naked and traumatised in black townships like Pretoria's Atteridgeville. Jawaad Abubaker and Kishen Naidoo, along with a third unnamed youth were finally arrested after several incidents of rape and abduction.

Self-admitted attackers of Ben Buys, 83 and daughter Louisa, 40 face 15 years in jail each
Bloemfontein – June 19 2010 – Four black males stand trial in the regional court for the violence-driven armed robbery of 83-year-old Afrikaner smallholder Ben Buys and his daughter Louisa, 40 on 9 November 2009 at their smallholding in Keerom Street next to the Irene-shopping centre. In the dock were Peter Langa (18), Samuel Jacobo (19), Lucky Motsukunyane (18) en Itumeleng Hlakane (20), who admitted the charges to magistrate Marina Voges
Public prosecutor Ms Charn Engelbreg said it wasn’t necessary to use such cruel force against the elderly smallholder and his unarmed daughter inside their home, ‘where they are supposed to be safe’. “The telephone wire was ripped out and the victims later had to seek help on foot. These armed attacks against families now happen on a daily bases and is a shock to the community. It’s usually older people who are attacked like this – and the four accused men’s youth is no excuse,’ she said.
“They were old enough to plan their crime in meticulous detail.’ In their plea-explanation the four men described that they had lain in ambush waiting for Mr Buys and his daughter to return from a shop. 'When the daughter saw them she started screaming; Langa caught her, and sprayed her with her own pepper-spray, while Jacobo took away the mother’s pepper-spray. Motsukunyane said they broke a window-pane in a door to gain access. When Mr Buys asked what was going on, Jacobo pulled the old man through the broken window and beat him up with a brook-stick. Jacobo and Hlakane then locked up the couple and their daughter in a bedroom and stashed their loot in large bags before fleeing with it. The sold all their loot – cellphones mostly, but kept a stolen chicken for themselves to eat, said Motsukunyane. Andrew du Preez is the pro-bono representative for Langa and Jacobo; Mr Hanno Bekker is the legal counsel for Motsukunyane and Hlakane.
Mr Buys and his daughter required medical treatment to stitch up the wounds on their heads and bodies and also suffered bad bruises while they tried to ward off the blows being delivered by the attackers’ ‘hard objects’. Assault charges dropped against Kroonstad farmer Chris Grobler and foreman Eugene Lloyd – lack of evidence
010-06-16 Volksblad journalist Johan Brits reports from Koppies magistrate’s court in the Free State that charges were dropped against Kroonstad farmer Chris Grobler, 23 and his foreman Eugene Lloyd because it could not be proven that they had assaulted and injured a suspected farm-attacker Leeu Monyamane, 43, who lodged the charges against the agriculturalists after they had disarmed him and handed him over into SAPS custody.
Brits reports that the ‘State was unable to prove beyond reasonable doubt’ that Grobler and Lloyd had assaulted Monyamane during the citizen’s arrest in March.” Magistrate Neels de la Rey then withdrew the charges. The farmer’s father Christo Grobler told Volksblad earlier that his son had called the SAPS to his farm when Monyama, a former worker, had made trouble on his farm Labri. The next evening Monyamane returned, looking for trouble again – and pulled out a knife, stabbing towards Grobler junior. However the young farmer had taken the knife away from the worker by tossing him on the ground. During the fall Monyamane broke his had and injured some ribs. ,Monyamane then lodged charges against Grobler jr. at the Heuningspruit police station and the two white men were arrested, spent the night in the Koppies police cells and were released on R500 bail each the next day. During their night in detention, the Heuningspruit police station commander Captain Thenjiwe Khumbeni had taken sides against the Afrikaners and openly supported a large assembled crowd from the local community who showed up to demonstrate. Twelve ANC-leaders charged with genocide - ICC, The Hague
June 18 2010 – The International Criminal Court has confirmed receipt of a complaint by a Rustenburg farmer against twelve of South Africa’s top politicians - including president Jacob Zuma -- on charges of genocidal hate-speech and human-rights violations. Among the many charges, there’s also a mention of incitement to kill Afrikaner farmers with the illegal genocidal hatespeech chant “Shoot the Farmer’.
There are twelve co-respondents in the case, said Fanie van der Walt, the farmer’s lawyer in a media statement, published by Radio Sonder Grense and by Sowetan newspaper. In the sworn statements handed in to the ICC in The Hague, the leading South Africans who are included in the charges are: President Jacob Zuma, ANC youth league leader Julius Malema, SAPS minister Nathi Mthethwa, SAPS head Bheki Cele, former national police commissioner Jackie Selebi, Minister of agriculture, forestry and fisheries Tina Joemat Peterson, Defence minister Lindiwe Sisulu, Intelligence minister Siyabonga Cwele, ex-Intelligence minister Ronnie Kasrils, African National Congress party’s secretary-general Gwede Mantashe, and the Ministers for rural development and for land affairs, Gugile Nkwinti and Pali Lehohla. The charges are genocide and crimes against humanity, reports Radio Sonder Grense.
“Sowetan” newspaper quotes the Rustenburg farmer’s lawyer Fanie van der Walt as saying in a statement: “The office of the prosecutor of the ICC confirmed in writing the receipt of the complaints which will now receive attention.”
One of the charges against Malema involves his incitement for genocide in his public singing of the chant “shoot the Boer”, defying two SA High Court rulings which had made it illegal to chant the genocidal hatespeech song in public.
The unidentified Rustenburg farmer and his family reportedly left South Africa two weeks ago, fearing for their safety after deciding to lay the charge against the twelve top ANC-politicians.. They have also asked the international court for a guarantee of protection – and won’t return to South Africa unless they can obtain a guarantee for their safety.
The submission of information to the office of the prosecutor did not automatically trigger an investigation, said Van der Walt. “In accordance with the Rome Statute, the office must analyse all information submitted in order to determine whether the rigorous criteria of the statute are satisfied.
“Once a decision is reached whether or not a reasonable basis to proceed with an investigation exists, the office of the prosecutor will promptly inform [us] thereof, along with reasons for the decision.
“We believe however that the ICC will decide to formally investigate the complaints because they comply with the very specific and defined jurisdiction and mandate of the [court] as defined by the Rome Statute.”

UNPO statement: "Afrikaners in general, and the Afrikaner farmers in particular, are the target of ethnic violence. The South African murder rate is extremely high at 48 murders per 100,000 of the population, compared to 2 murders per 100,000 in Europe, for example. If Afrikaner farmers are taken as a statistical population, the murder rate is 287 per 100,000. Imagine if a FIFA World Cup stadium in Germany had been named the Adolph Hitler Stadium. Would Germany have permitted that? Or FIFA? Would they just have glossed over the names of those responsible for the deaths of so many?
Why then will FIFA 2010 World Cup matches be played at the Peter Mokaba Stadium? Peter Mokaba openly encouraged the murder of innocent South Africans and he influenced the South African Government to deny the existence of HIV/Aids.
More than 3,500 farmers and smallholders have been brutally murdered under ANC-hegemony -- because of what Mokaba stood for with his chants of “Kill the Boer, Kill the Farmer”; his terrorist-activities in the Pietersburg region as a member of Umkhonte we Sizwe (the still active military branch of the African National Congress). Mokaba has never testified at the Truth and Reconciliation Commission – however former SADF officers did testify at the TRCe that Mokaba was suspected of many violent acts of terrorism causing the deaths of many people; that he was arrested for carrying out terrorist acts; but that three of his comrades had taken the rap and gone to jail instead when they refused to testify against him.

Mokaba was quoted as saying that ‘the HIV virus had not been isolated; and that anti-retroviral drugs were toxic and had no benefits beyond making profits for pharmaceutical companies” according to his obituary in The Guardian newspaper in the UK. Afriforum Youth distributed the above documentary on the South African farm murders in protest against FIFA naming one of the World Cup 2010 after the late Peter Mokaba.
Afriforum chairman Ernst Roets said the documentary was launched in protest against Fifa's refusal to a request to remove the"idealisation" of the controversial late ANCYL leader's name from the Fifa website. “AfriForum Youth has now launched a web site and documentary on the farm murders and the unjustifiable veneration which the South African government and Fifa has for Peter Mokaba," Roets said.
Mokaba, who died in June 2002, was known for singing his socalled ‘ traditional struggle song’ with the words "kill the boer, kill the farmer" at ANCYL rallies. Mokaba was honoured by FIFA naming the World Cup stadium in the town of Pietersburg – now unilaterally renamed to Polokwane -- after him.
Afrikaners banned from protesting against bail for murder suspects of farmer Johan Strijdom
Roets said the Afriforum Youth movement was banned from rotesting outside the Potchefstroom Magistrate's Court in the renamed “Peter Mokaba Street” – because FIFA enforced a ban on protest gatherings for the duration of the World Cup.
Afriforum wanted to protest outside the law courts where two black men, accused of attacking Potchefstroom farmer Johan Strydom (left); dragging him across a firm chained to his bakkie, and killing him by bludgeoning the young farmer to death.
The men were expected to apply for bail on June 10 and Afriforum had planned to protest against allowing them bail – however the Potchefstroom municipality blocked Afriforum’s application to do so.
The documentary, which is narrated by popular Afrikaans singer Steve Hofmeyr, shows Mokaba followers singing the "Kill the boer, kill the farmer" song. It also included graphic images of farm murders and Aids victims.
Roets said the DVD also gave information on how Mokaba had incited his followers to commit racial violence, as well as on the way in which he influenced the SA government to deny the existence of HIV/Aids. "We have made thousands of copies of this documentary. We will distribute it at the airports, hotels and soccer stadiums in DVDs," he said. "We will also present copies to the presidents of the ANCYL and Fifa."
Roets added that while Afriforum -- who also laid a complaint against Fifa and the Local Organising Committee at the SA Human Rights Commission -- had no intention of disrupting the World Cup "the hero worship of Fifa for Peter Mokaba is an unacceptable slap in the face of the more than two thousand victims of farm murders and the more than a million victims of HIV/Aids."

In 2009 5.7-million people suffered HIV-Aids in South Africa: The impact of the AIDS epidemic is reflected in the dramatic change in South Africa’s mortality rates. The overall number of annual deaths increased sharply from 1997, when 316,559 people died, to 2006 when 607,184 people died. This rise is not solely FROM hiv-aids - however the death-rates peak specifically among young adults of child-bearing age: which is the age group most affected by AIDS. In 2006, 41% of all the ‘natural’ deaths were recorded amongst 25 - 49 year olds, up from 29% in 1997.6 This is a strong indicator that AIDS is a major, if not the principal, factor in the overall rising number of deaths.
