An unnamed Pretoria mom from Orchards who was assaulted with a pitchfork, raped, kidnapped, raped -- and managed to escape from her attacker on July 25 20, 2010: but the SAPS has yet to come and take a statement from her or investigate the matter. Beeld journalist Hilda Fourie reports that the 35-year-old Afrikaans woman told her 7-year-old son before she was raped to hold onto his puppy Kassie and pull a blanket over his head so that he didn't have to see his mother being raped. The little boy offered the R30 attacker his pocketmoney from his wallet when the black rapist shouted at him, demanding money.The woman then was kidnapped by her attacker and it is believed she managed to jump from the moving vehicle: she can't remember what happened: she was found next to the road with a broken jaw and arm.
Nobody from the Acacia police station has arrived to take a statement from the injured rape victim. The investigating officer, a male constable, also refuses to talk to her family when they call to enquire as to why he hasn't started investigating the case yet - starting with taking her statement and viewing the crime scene. Eventually her own sister-in-law, who is an SAPS-member, was granted permission from her superior officers to take her traumatised sister's statement. Yet a week later, it's still not been fetched by the investigating officer.
SAPS spokesman LtCol Eugene Opperman said the matter now is 'being investigated at the highest level' after he raised the issue with the head of the provincial criminal investigations division.
The raped woman told Beeld that the attacker assaulted her with a pitch-fork and demanded money, constantly yelling 'shut up, shut up' at her. Her attacker then took her little son's pocket money and her bank-card and forced her into her car. At one point she remembers seeing lights and when she started screaming he hit her over the head.
"I can't recall what happened next. All I remember is feeling the ground and then I was gone.'
Gauteng's white families targetted by murder-gangs - and nobody has been arrested for any of the following incidents:
- Riana Schoeman (35) was shot dead on Aug 5 2010 on a Brandbach smallholding in front of her sons Martin (6) and Johan (4).
- Elrene Jones (40) was injured by two shots during an armed attack in Willowbray on 11 June; her life-partner Rudolph Terblanche (47), was left paraplegic by a gunshot during the same attack and their friend Gerhard van Jaarsveld (48), was shot dead.
- Barbara Eagar (74) and her husband retired SADF colonel Thys Eagar (78), asaulted, stabbed with knibs and kicked during armed attack at their Wierdapark Centurion home on June 5
Suna Steenberg (45) LEFT still remains in a coma when she was shot execution-style in the head during an armed attack on 16 April at her Kameelfontein smallholding. - Wilna Prinsloo (71) and her son Ben, 45 were both assaulted on 35 March by armed black attackers in their Boschkop homestead.
- Suzie Venter (83) was choked, her husband Theunis, (85) was beaten to death during an armed attack at their Mayville, Pretoria,\ home on 11 February.
- Hettie Brittz, wife of the gospel singer Louis Brittz, was raped on 8 February in their high-security home in Centurion.
- Elsa Blignaut (83) was found choked to death on 25 January with her nightclothes in her home at New Muckleneuk.
- Ria van den Bergh (65) was beaten to death on 13 January in her Hermanstad homestead.
- Kitty Botha (83) was attacked on 8 January in Lyttelton, Centurion, tied up, choked and then her house was torched with the devout Afrikaans woman inside. It was found that she had been beaten to death.

In nearby Noordheuwel, Krugersdorp, an unnamed Afrikaans mom was murdered during an armed attack on August 5 2010 in their high-security complex.Nothing appeared to be robbed. Her name is withheld pending notification of kin overseas. The armed black gunmen attacked the young family inside their home while they were having supper and immediately started shooting.
SAPS spokeswoman Cynthia Mogoai however, blamed the victim: she said he ‘was shot when he tried to push the panic button. They shot him in the upper body and he died on the scene”.
The four blacks then strolled out again, only taking along Rotshchild’s wallet and a cellphone, leaving other easy-to-steal valuables behind. East Cape youth, 17, found hanged; fingertips, right side face cut off
2010-08-08 Johannesburg - A 17-year-old boy was found hanging with his body parts chopped off on Sunday in Mthatha, in what seemed to be a muti related killing, Eastern Cape police said. He was hung inside his shack at Ntshele township in Zimbane. The right side of his nose, ears and cheeks were also cut off," Colonel Mzukisi Fatyela said. The boy was killed late on Saturday night and found by relatives on Sunday morning. He was living alone in the shack. Mrs Chrissie Harmzen, 70, died of her injuries at Midmed Hospital in Middelburg a day after the unarmed grandmother – a small woman disabled by rheumatoid arthritis -- was viciously attacked while stepping outside her Burgersfort farm house on Friday-morning to catch a bit of sunshine..
She had just finished speaking to her daughter-in-law Lena by phone, telling her that she was ‘cold and was going outside to warm up a bit in the sunshine’. As Mra Harmzen stepped outside with her five Jack Russell dogs, she was attacked. The frail old Afrikaans lady was viciously assaulted with the assailants bashing away at her face and chest chest – even so, she still managed to push an emergency button before the attackers fled with her cellphone and a bunch of ouse keys. This remains a mystery: It’s really not clear why anybody would want to steal housekeys but they are often stolen during such attacks..Her husband Jan is heartbroken. Their daughter Mrs Marlene Fick said her parents ‘just lived only for one another, they were close partners for life’. When Lena phoned the old lady, an unknown man had answered her cellphone instead. “I couldn’t make out what he said. So I phoned him back and he said he was Lucas.’ I then called my dad who confirmed that my mom had just been attacked. I called her stolen phone again and told the man who answered it that he was a coward. Why didn’t he just take her phone? My mother is a tiny woman who was bent over from rheumatoid arthritis. They could just have taken the phone. It wasn’t necessary to assault her so viciously.’ Her traumatised widower said the murder-attack was motivated ‘not by hunger, but by pure evil anger’. Mrs Harmzen is survived by Jan, their three children and seven grandchildren.
Jack Russells protect battered owner
Marietie Louw-Carstens, Beeld Pretoria – Three Jack Russell dogs belonging to Chrissie Harmzen, 70, climbed on top of her and guarded her after she was so severely assaulted on a farm outside Burgersfort in Limpopo on Friday morning that she died later that day of her injuries.Johan Harmzen, 72, told in a heartbroken voice on Tuesday how the dogs wouldn’t let anyone near his injured wife. “They were very attached to her.” The couple has five Jack Russells.Harmzen was attacked and assaulted at about 11:00, barely five steps from the back door of the house she and her husband rent on the farm, Dresden. They have been living on the farm for the past ten years.“She was beaten so hard that her lungs burst,” said her husband. She was also repeatedly beaten in the face and hit over the head with an unknown object.Harmzen died of her injuries in the Midmed hospital in Middelburg, Mpumalanga.The couple had been married for 50 years and three months. “We were a part of each other,” said Harmzen.Only Harmzen’s cellphone, the back door keys and the security company’s panic button were stolen. Nothing was taken from the house.“It wasn’t a robbery or theft. It was just plain murder. It was a sadist who came here to murder,” Harmzen said.
Tried to describe attackers
During the attack Mrs Harmzen was able to press the security company’s panic button she always carried with her.
The company called her husband immediately.“I phoned her once or twice on her cellphone, but the call was rejected each time. I knew she would never do that.”The security company went to the farm and Harmzen raced home from his work, about 20 minutes away.“When I arrived I saw her lying there (…) and the dogs were sitting on her.”He says his wife tried to describe the attacker(s) before she was taken by ambulance to the hospital.“She spoke a little, but her eyes kept rolling back in her head.”A neighbour of the Harmzens was attacked on the same farm, where there are a few houses, at the end of last year.Hendrik Pitzer, a neighbour, said there have been plenty of cases of theft on the farm.“It’s terrible that she was attacked in the garden in broad daylight,” said Pitzer.Ronél Otto, police spokesperson in Limpopo, said no suspects have been arrested yet.

MAP - ATTACKS AGAINST ‘WHITES’ FROM MAY 1 2010 – AUGUST 8 2010:
The largest number of attacks targetting "whites" took place in Gauteng province, with 144 incidents - notably also
right through the entire World Cup 2010 period, when the SAPS censored publication of most crime-reports....
Notoriously the most unsafe areas -- especially for low-income working-class Afrikaners who cannot afford expensive security installations -- are the Kameeldrift/Leeuwfontein/Boschkop smallholdings around Pretoria. These smallholders have been living in virtual war-siege conditions for at least five years and with severely reduced police protection, are having to wage frequent battles during hour-long sieges by armed black-male attack groups, also according to the records on http://censorbugbear-reports.blogspot.com/.
One Afrikaner couple was also murdered on an island belonging to Madagaskar, the primarily Islamic Indian-ocean island where the murder-rate is usually very low. The motives for this double murder of this couple, which had bought a property there several years earlier, remain murky.
- Mpumalanga province showed the second-largest numbers of attacks and racist incidents targetting Afrikaners specifically - with 89 incidents.
- In North West province, a peak of farm-attacks also occurred: mostly thwarted by skilled volunteer-farm protection units whose members also citizen-arrested four on-duty SAPS officers for actively participating in these attacks. Their trials still are in the bail-application stage.
- Northern Cape remains the province with the lowest number of attacks targetting 'whites' - three since May 1 2010. The Western and Eastern Cape combined recorded a total of 25 attacks both against white English- and Afrikaans-speakers. It’s notable how often the SAPS failed to report these very violent crimes to the news media: in one notorious recent rape of a 65-year-old widow in Pinetown, Cape Town, the local community-security officials had reported the rape.
SAPS RELIES HEAVILY ON HIGH LEVEL OF CITIZEN-ARRESTS BY UNPAID VOLUNTEER PATROLS:
The SAPS also seems to rely increasingly on bringing criminals to justice primarily through “citizen-arrests” carried out by unpaid volunteer-citizens who patrol the streets day and night in many suburbs. There is a high level of interest from residents countrywide in active hands-on participation and undertaking street patrols through their local community- and street-watch unpaid volunteer units. There also is an notable increase in the estrangement between the SA Police Service and many of these local community-groups – with taxpayer organisations and invididual citizens having thus far this year, lodged more than 11,000 formal complaints with the Independent Complaints Directorate about specific criminal activities by SA Police members ranging from armed robbery, rape to murder and extortion or bribery attempts.
- KwaZulu-Natal recorded several gruesome murders of English-speaking whites with the Lizamore couple, journalists/editors and founders of several newspapers, murdered without much international media attention and one elderly UK-born couple was murdered on a KZN-smallholding, reported only in the provincial news media outlets. The success of the Plotwatch and neighbourhood block watches in Sector One cannot be over-emphasised. This weekend four burglaries were either nipped in the bud or aborted as criminals realised that they would be caught red handed by security and police.
Mr Harro Rust head of the Plotwatch and member of the Sector One of the Hartbeespoort Community Policing forum told MadibengPulse that Plotwatch was called on to back up the security companies in several criminal incidents. On Friday night August 7 2010 during the early evening, an alarm signal from a house in Malan Street, Schoemansville was received by a security company who called for back up from Plotwatch. The owners weren’t home and when they arrived on the scene found that a veranda window had been broken to gain entry. The thieves had moved on through the adjoining lounge window which they broke to get into the house itself. “There were clothes strewn all over the lounge but all the electronic goods such as the TV and DVD in the lounge were all still there!” said Mr Rust. The swift reaction of the security company and Plotwatch must have interrupted the thieves and made for their swift exit. Mr Rust says the owner was contacted and accompanied home.
Electric fence lifted by attackers at Rietfontein smallholdings; grass pushed into keyholes of gate locks; gates lifted off their rails…
At 03:00 on Saturday August 7 2010 thieves used a forked stick to lift the electric fence of a Rietfontein plot before climbing through underneath. They then broke into the garage and stole three bicycles. They also tried to enter the house through the lounge door, but the alarm sounded and they fled.
Shortly afterwards thieves tried to break into a house where there are two homes on the same plot. A panic signal was received by a security company when the residents who were home, heard intruders moving around the house and trying the doors. The intruders weren’t able to enter the house and fled without taking anything, says Mr Rust. The blue pocket of an overall was found on the fence where the intruders had climbed over. Mr Rust says that Plotwatch also discovered that criminals are pushing grass stalks into the keyholes of gate locks so that it’s difficult for property owners to react quickly when there’s an alarm, because they can’t get their keys into the locks.
Lifted gates off rail
At 04:00 also in Rietfontein criminals lifted a gate off its rails to gain entry to the Mushroom Farm. The owner of the property fired two warning shots into the air and phoned the security company who reacted with Plotwatch. On Saturday night there was also an attempted housebreaking in the same area, according to Mr Rust. All the Rietfontein incidents can be directly linked to nearby Marius squatter camp, says Harro Rust, because they are closest to all the properties mentioned. Volgens ons sekuriteitswag, het twee swartes by haar eenheid ingebr...eek deur die diefwering oop te buig, haar dogter (wat in matriek is) vasgebind, en toe die vrou hoor daar gaan iets in die huis aan en uit haar kamer uit kom om ondersoek in te stel, het een van die bliksems haar dood geskiet. 2010-08-06 - Durban – A bizarre plot has come to light in the Pinetown Regional Court on Friday – with a self-admitted SAPS informer claiming that there was a plot to ‘recruit soldiers from Burundi to destabilise KZN province’ by burning down schools and hospitals. Also, an “amputated hand” was going to be used to assassinate KwaZulu-Natal Premier Dr Zweli Mkhize. Advocate Mluleki Chiti made these claims, speaking as the legal counsel representing two of five people accused of plotting to kill Mkhize.
- Chiti, representing Themba Xaba and Sizwe Mkhize (no relation to premier Zweli Mkhize), did not explain how the limb would be used in the murder. It is however common knowledge that body parts are sometimes used as muti when people commit crime. The State allegedly is also investigating Sizwe Mkhize for ‘trying to recruit soldiers from Burundi to destabilise the province of KZN’. Chiti claimed that the “body part “was found at Mkhize’s flat in Durban a day before he was arrested with Xaba, Jackson Chili, Mlungisi Xulu, and Sthembiso Mthembu as they were allegedly on their way to kill the premier. Chiti said “police took the hand, and that Mkhize was not arrested on that day because he explained to police it was going to be used by "certain people" plotting to kill the premier. “However the five accused claim that other people had hatched the plan – and that they were merely ordered to carry it out. The five accused plotters have thus far refused to divulge the names of these alleged plotters during their bail application hearing, which was expected to be concluded next Tuesday. Investigating officer Sbusiso Zungu said “something was taken from Mkhize’s flat, but said it was not a human body part.”The court also heard that ‘Chiti’s clients “had told the SAPS about the people who were involved in the plot as far back as 2009. White woman, 65, raped in upperclass Pinelands, Cape Town home – police fail to report to the news media…
CAPE TOWN. In a rape which was initially hushed up by the local cops, the upperclass residents of Pinelands are reeling after an elderly white widow was allegedly raped in her home by a man who made her cover her face so she couldn't identify him and then forced her to wash herself to get rid of DNA-evidence. The woman's house is well-secured but it is believed the rapist sawed through the Trellidoor-type burglar bars last Saturday night, the night before the attack, while the 65-year-old woman was out. He then returned around 8.30am on Sunday and entered through the bathroom window, surprising the woman.After raping the woman, the man left taking her computer and cellphone.The traumatised woman, who lives alone, is now on anti-retrovirals to prevent transfer of the AIDS-virus. More than 70% of the young black males in South Africa are infected with the HIV-virus. John Berry, chairman of the Pinelands Residents and Ratepayers' Association and the Community Police Forum, said the attack was very worrying. Police were treating it as "hush hush" and had not issued a press release."But we can't let it be swept under the carpet." Berry said there had not been violent crime in Pinelands for some time. "We mostly have kids robbed of their cellphones but nothing horrendous like this."Brian Watkyns, the ward councillor for Pinelands, claimed he “was not aware of any rapes with a similar modus operandi in the area.”Police Inspector Mrs Tando Sonjica said no arrest had been made. Breytenbach couple survives armed attack, Uitkyk, De Rest, Nelspruit - Friday, 4 June 2010
NELSPRUIT – Written by Catharina Robbertze, Lowvelder. George and Leonie Breytenbach, 78 and 75, were attacked on their home at The Rest, on the Uitkyk smallholdings near de Res, Nelspruit.

Hulle het hom so hard geslaan dat die kop van die gholfstok afgebreek het. Die gebreekte stok, die slagoffer se bebloede hoedjie en 'n plas bloed op die grond was stille getuies van die drama."Hulle het my geslaan en ek het geval, maar ek was nie uit nie, ek is te taai dat hulle my uitslaan," vertel hy. "Een van hulle het op my geklim en my ses, sewe, agt keer met 'n stomp voorwerp oor die kop geslaan."Die aanvallers het hom hierna in die huis in gesleep met 'n mes teen sy keel waar hulle hom en sy vrou in die slaapkamer aangehou het. "Hulle het ons gedwing om die kluis oop te sluit en die haelgeweer en windbuks gevat. Daarna het hul die geweer met een van die twee patrone wat daar was gelaai en vir ons gesê hul gaan ons vrek skiet as ons moeilikheid maak," het hy gesê.Na die mans die bietjie kontant wat die Breytenbachs by hul gehad het gevat het, het hul die res van die huis omgekeer op soek na meer waardevolle buit. Van hier af het sy haar seun en niggie geskakel en Hi-Tech Sekuriteit is onmiddelik ontbied. Volgens mnr. Vernon Lancaster was Hi-Tech vinnig op die toneel danksy die vierwiel-motorfiets wat die area patrolleer en mnr. Albert Gryvenstein van Bossie's Justice is ook onmiddelik ontplooi om die gebied met 'n helikopter vir verdagtes te fynkam.Danksy inligting vanaf Gryvenstein in die helikopter het Hi-Tech twee verdagte mans in die area gearresteer, maar dit is nog nie duidelik of hulle wel betrokke is by die aanval nie. Die omliggende area het gewemel van Hi-Tech-offisiere en inwoners van die gebied het op uitkykpunte met verkykers gestaan om die aanvallers op te spoor, maar geen verdere arrestasies is gemaak nie.In die Makadamia-boord rondom die huis is twee bottels koeldrank en 'n pakkie koekies onder 'n boom gekry waar die twee mans dit gelaat het. Die kos is uit die Breytenbachs se buite-yskas gevat. Na meeste van die stof gaan lê het, het die egpaar van die hospitaal teruggekeer en me. Breytenbach het by die bure vir twee koppies tee kom vra vir haar en haar bebloede man. Op 'n vraag of hul weer in die huis gaan slaap het altwee 'n besliste "ja" geantwoord. "Dis ons huis, ons blyplek, hierdie… Waar anders moet ons gaan bly?" het hulle gesê. AO. Mrs Chrissie Harmzen, 70, died of her injuries at Midmed Hospital in Middelburg a day after the unarmed grandmother – a small woman disabled by rheumatoid arthritis -- was viciously attacked while stepping outside her Burgersfort home on Friday-morning to catch a bit of sunshine..
She had just finished speaking to her daughter-in-law Lena by phone, telling her that she was ‘cold and was going outside to warm up a bit in the sunshine’. As Mra Harmzen stepped outside with her five Jack Russell dogs, she was attacked. The frail old Afrikaans lady was viciously assaulted with the assailants bashing away at her face and chest chest – even so, she still managed to push an emergency button before the attackers fled with her cellphone and a bunch of ouse keys. This remains a mystery: It’s really not clear why anybody would want to steal housekeys but they are often stolen during such attacks..Her husband Jan is heartbroken. Their daughter Mrs Marlene Fick said her parents ‘just lived only for one another, they were close partners for life’. When Lena phoned the old lady, an unknown man had answered her cellphone instead. “I couldn’t make out what he said. So I phoned him back and he said he was Lucas.’ I then called my dad who confirmed that my mom had just been attacked. I called her stolen phone again and told the man who answered it that he was a coward. Why didn’t he just take her phone? My mother is a tiny woman who was bent over from rheumatoid arthritis. They could just have taken the phone. It wasn’t necessary to assault her so viciously.’ Her traumatised widower said the murder-attack was motivated ‘not by hunger, but by pure evil anger’. The largest number of attacks targetting "whites" took place in Gauteng province, with 144 incidents - notably also
right through the entire World Cup 2010 period, when the SAPS censored publication of most crime-reports....
Notoriously the most unsafe areas -- especially for low-income working-class Afrikaners who cannot afford expensive security installations -- are the Kameeldrift/Leeuwfontein/Boschkop smallholdings around Pretoria. These smallholders have been living in virtual war-siege conditions for at least five years and with severely reduced police protection, are having to wage frequent battles during hour-long sieges by armed black-male attack groups, also according to the records on http://censorbugbear-reports.blogspot.com/.
One Afrikaner couple was also murdered on an island belonging to Madagaskar, the primarily Islamic Indian-ocean island where the murder-rate is usually very low. The motives for this double murder of this couple, which had bought a property there several years earlier, remain murky.
- Mpumalanga province showed the second-largest numbers of attacks and racist incidents targetting Afrikaners specifically - with 89 incidents.
- In North West province, a peak of farm-attacks also occurred: mostly thwarted by skilled volunteer-farm protection units whose members also citizen-arrested four on-duty SAPS officers for actively participating in these attacks. Their trials still are in the bail-application stage.
- Northern Cape remains the province with the lowest number of attacks targetting 'whites' - three since May 1 2010. The Western and Eastern Cape combined recorded a total of 25 attacks both against white English- and Afrikaans-speakers. It’s notable how often the SAPS failed to report these very violent crimes to the news media: in one notorious recent rape of a 65-year-old widow in Pinetown, Cape Town, the local community-security officials had reported the rape.
SAPS RELIES HEAVILY ON HIGH LEVEL OF CITIZEN-ARRESTS BY UNPAID VOLUNTEER PATROLS:
- The SAPS also seems to rely increasingly on bringing criminals to justice primarily through “citizen-arrests” carried out by unpaid volunteer-citizens who patrol the streets day and night in many suburbs. There is a high level of interest from residents countrywide in active hands-on participation and undertaking street patrols through their local community- and street-watch unpaid volunteer units. There also is an notable increase in the estrangement between the SA Police Service and many of these local community-groups – with taxpayer organisations and invididual citizens having thus far this year, lodged more than 11,000 formal complaints with the Independent Complaints Directorate about specific criminal activities by SA Police members ranging from armed robbery, rape to murder and extortion or bribery attempts.
- KwaZulu-Natal recorded several gruesome murders of English-speaking whites with the Lizamore couple, journalists/editors and founders of several newspapers, murdered without much international media attention and one elderly UK-born couple was murdered on a KZN-smallholding, reported only in the provincial news media outlets. Plot to recruit soldiers from Burundi to destabilise KZN province by burning down schools and hospitals…
2010-08-06 - Durban – A bizarre plot has come to light in the Pinetown Regional Court on Friday – with a self-admitted SAPS informer claiming that there was a plot to ‘recruit soldiers from Burundi to destabilise KZN province’ by burning down schools and hospitals. Also, an “amputated hand” was going to be used to assassinate KwaZulu-Natal Premier Dr Zweli Mkhize. Advocate Mluleki Chiti made these claims, speaking as the legal counsel representing two of five people accused of plotting to kill Mkhize.
- Chiti, representing Themba Xaba and Sizwe Mkhize (no relation to premier Zweli Mkhize), did not explain how the limb would be used in the murder. It is however common knowledge that body parts are sometimes used as muti when people commit crime. The State allegedly is also investigating Sizwe Mkhize for ‘trying to recruit soldiers from Burundi to destabilise the province of KZN’. Chiti claimed that the “body part “was found at Mkhize’s flat in Durban a day before he was arrested with Xaba, Jackson Chili, Mlungisi Xulu, and Sthembiso Mthembu as they were allegedly on their way to kill the premier. Chiti said “police took the hand, and that Mkhize was not arrested on that day because he explained to police it was going to be used by "certain people" plotting to kill the premier. “However the five accused claim that other people had hatched the plan – and that they were merely ordered to carry it out. The five accused plotters have thus far refused to divulge the names of these alleged plotters during their bail application hearing, which was expected to be concluded next Tuesday. Investigating officer Sbusiso Zungu said “something was taken from Mkhize’s flat, but said it was not a human body part.”The court also heard that ‘Chiti’s clients “had told the SAPS about the people who were involved in the plot as far back as 2009. White woman, 65, raped in upperclass Pinelands, Cape Town home – police fail to report to the news media…
CAPE TOWN. In a rape which was initially hushed up by the local cops, the upperclass residents of Pinelands are reeling after an elderly white widow was allegedly raped in her home by a man who made her cover her face so she couldn't identify him and then forced her to wash herself to get rid of DNA-evidence. The woman's house is well-secured but it is believed the rapist sawed through the Trellidoor-type burglar bars last Saturday night, the night before the attack, while the 65-year-old woman was out. He then returned around 8.30am on Sunday and entered through the bathroom window, surprising the woman.After raping the woman, the man left taking her computer and cellphone.The traumatised woman, who lives alone, is now on anti-retrovirals to prevent transfer of the AIDS-virus. More than 70% of the young black males in South Africa are infected with the HIV-virus. John Berry, chairman of the Pinelands Residents and Ratepayers' Association and the Community Police Forum, said the attack was very worrying. Police were treating it as "hush hush" and had not issued a press release."But we can't let it be swept under the carpet." Berry said there had not been violent crime in Pinelands for some time. "We mostly have kids robbed of their cellphones but nothing horrendous like this."Brian Watkyns, the ward councillor for Pinelands, claimed he “was not aware of any rapes with a similar modus operandi in the area.”Police Inspector Mrs Tando Sonjica said no arrest had been made.
