Pretoria policeman Jaco Botha and police reservist-constable Gerhard Weyers of the Hercules SAPS had a narrow escape at 4am on Monday August 30 2010. A rain of bullets hit their vehicle during a car-chase from the Lewis furniture shop in Moot Street, Hermansstad. They arrested 4 robbery suspects.

The police officers had spotted a blue VW microvan and two men running into the shop, stopped their car and got out. “The men, noticing us, got back into their vehicle and one pointed a gun at us. While they chased off, I fired at them,” said Botha, pointing to the bullet-hole in his windscreen. Hilda Fourie of Beeld writes that the policemen chased the combi onto the Mabopane highway (R80 in the diurection of Soshanguve, northwest of Pretoria when Weyers shot the VW’s tyres to shreds, forcing it off the road about 1km before the Brits exit. They found two men in the rear of the microbus with neck- and chest injuries. They were taken to Kalafond hospital but are out of danger. The driver and the front-seat passenger were not injured and were arrested. They also confiscated the suspects’ firearm which they had tossed out at Wilhelm Street. They recovered three flatscreen TVs probably stolen from the shop. Botha said: ‘the community must realise that some of us (police members) are still doing our jobs and want to continue to do so.’ They have linked the same VW microbus to armed robberies at various businesses in the region over the past three months. Murder of Dawie Maree of Centurion described by brave widow at trial 2010-08-31

Pretoria - The North Gauteng High Court heard how Centurion woman Elana Maree, 27, lay over her small children to protect them while her husband Dawie wrestled with an armed robber on their bed. Both men were shot in the struggle and died. Mrs Maree testified in the murder trial of Dawie's alleged murderers Lawyer Marabe Talane and Rodney Katang Masemola. Elana, whose children are now 3 and 4 years old, was crying when she left court on Tuesday.Lawyer Marabe Talane and Rodney Katang Masemola pleaded not guilty to murder (two charges), house breaking and robbery with aggravating circumstances, and illegal possession of a firearm and ammunition. The State submits that they two accused black men had robbed the Maree family and shot and killed Dawie together with a deceased accomplice, Seporo Martin Tshebesebe, on May 23 2008.At the time the Marees lived in Meyers Park, Pretoria. Elana testified that their children (respectively 2 years and 11 months old at the time) were sleeping in the couple's bedroom. She and her husband woke up when a "person" who was standing on their bed, bent over to take her husband's firearm. "My husband tackled him and they started wrestling. He was able to get his own firearm out of the guy's hand." She saw a second person standing in the doorway. She grabbed the children from their cots and lay over them on the floor. The fight between her husband and the "first person" continued and shots were fired. At one stage she saw the second man aiming a firearm "at where the fight was going on". Then the bedroom door slammed shut.
Her husband called out to her to switch on the light. That's when she saw her husband was pinning a man down on the bed. Dawie was injured. There was blood on the sheet and on his leg and mouth. She didn't realise at the time that the man who was being pinned on the bed was also wounded. She testified how she picked up the attacker’s firearm from the floor, aimed it at him and told him not to move. "My husband asked me to phone the police and an ambulance and that I should pray for him." Elana was in such a state of shock that she couldn't dial the police's 10111 number on her cellphone. Her husband was "struggling terribly to breathe". Instead she phoned their neighbour, Braam Espach, and their friend, Marius Esterhuizen, while the children clung to her in tears. She testified that the attacker on the bed "groaned a lot". He later died. Espach rushed Dawie to the Wilgers hospital, with Elana following him. Saturday night, 20 Augustus 2010 – Vision 1197 - Afrikaner mystic Judith de Beer writes - “Earlier this week I had a psychological experience accompanied by an intense fear-attack. This made me hesitate to write it down. However I then received a repeat of this vision with the order to write it down.
“It starts with the vision that even the most accomplished and settled Boers, agrarians, are removed through an unfair but ‘legalised’ way from their landed properties, and that these removalsgradually grow more brutally violent and illegal. Just after this I saw shopshelves initially bulging with products, people rushing to the shops to buy as much as they were able to; the government unexpectedly announcing food-rationing, and people being forced to stand in long lines for even their most basic life’s necessities; with white people being pushed from the waiting lines and fearfully also running away from them. Across the land and elsewhere in the world, chaos breaks out. I have a very clear vision of white women being kidnapped and dumped into taxis, driven to squatter camps, their clothes being ripped off and their having to suffer from repeated gang-rapes while hordes of children taunt them and beat them with sticks. Some of the white women are forced on their knees to carry out slavery-work doing the most humilating tasks. After this I saw how many whites, Indians and other foreigners are cruelly murdered. Every day, Major Eksteen works with sophisticated military signals and electronic communications equipment . However he received his signal from God on his laptop at home - on Father’s Day, 17 June 2008.
And ever since that day, he feels just like Joseph must have felt before the Exodus of the people of Israel from Egypt - ‘nearly no-one believes me and those who do believe, cannot figure out the real meaning of the message.’
However, he told Sondag Afrikaans tabloid, today he knows what the message meant.
The signal he received and recorded on his laptop is deeply mysterious: a roaring lion, breathing, water rushing by... the journalist reports that she also listened to it and was deeply puzzled.
He also wanted to decypher what he’d heard and started researching Electronic Voice Phenomena (EVP) – technological communications which cannot be explained and which many people believe come from beyond the grave.
Sometimes such signals are sent during radio-broadcasts, when they suddenly are interrupted and your name is suddenly mentioned. At other times, horrific sounds emanate from TV- and radio-sets.
The Vatican also said publicly that they believed in this phenomenon’s mystic origins. Well-known scientists such as Marconi, Sir William Crookes and John Logie Baird also experimented with EVP. Evensome protestant churches and other official bodies acknowledged the existence of EVP.
However Quintus says those aren’t ‘voices from ghosts’ – he says those usually give a brief and clear message.
“I asked and received. God wants me to share this with believers and unbelievers. He Exists. This is a technological miracle,’ he said.
Since 2006, when the SANDF started laying off a large number of its white employees, he said he’d been praying without fail for God to direct him to another job. His wife Hanlie also used to work for the SANDF but as a white woman with IT-training, she was able to get other work, since she falls under a different BEE-category. However he’s a white man nearly 40 years old: and white males are being very actively barred from the South African job market under the ANC-regime’s black-economic-empowerment hiring policies.
While looking for new work, the Afrikaner communications expert has had some emotionally-laden, very stressful years: he was even treated for paranoia at a Bloemfontein institution. “However I am not crazy, although everybody says I am,’ he said.
He had also become focused on one sentence in the book The Secret by Rhonda Byrne, and one sentence has stuck in his mind: “I have created and bring it in a way that I won’t expect so that I am as surprised at my ability to be able to experience these things and make it so that I have no doubt that it comes from You.”

Sondag newspaper listened to the signal which Quintus had received on his laptop and also asked Rev Dr. Isak Burger, head of the Afrikaans Evangelical Church, for his opinion on this odd phenomenon. He said his church believes that “God can and does communicate with us in many strange ways. Who are we to say that God would not use technology to communicate. The Aurora gold mine workers in Springs have been unpaid for many months; yet they still go to work every day, do their dangerous jobs without any insurance coverage, return dead-tired at home at night – but get no money or food for their families in return. Why do they do it? asks Solidarity trade union in its September newsletter. “It’s simply a matter of survival of the entire community: these Afrikaner miners now are the only ones which keep manning the pumps which stop the highly toxic waste-water from the mine from flooding their town and poisoning their water supplies”. The mine is owned by a grandson of Nelson Mandela and nephew of pres. Jacob Zuma. It’s also the first mine in South Africa making official use of unpaid slave-labour…
Afrikaner poverty scares students from The Netherlands and Centurion:
The Centurion High School pupils collected a mountain of second-hand clothes for the poor Afrikaners in squatter camps this week. Morne Kapp, team leader, said they jumped to after seeing pictures of the starving Afrikaans families in the newspapers. Marble Hall farmer Jan van Heerden also donated 300 bags of oranges and 120 cabbages to help feed the poor: there are 650,000 Afrikaners requiring daily food-aid – and they are not getting any government coupons either because they are ‘whites’. Meanwhile the story of Afrikaner poverty is beginning to spread worldwide: Dutch students showed up at the Eagle’s Nest squatter camp in Pretoria North this month as part of their youth-exchange programme – and entertained the Afrikaans children with “Boer sporting events’ such as Jukskei. They went home deeply impressed with the fact that people ‘who spoke a language just like ours’, could be this poor and also have little to no survival chances, the students wrote on their blog this week.
