Hulle sal verkeer ontwrig en by die Uniegebou in Pretoria slaap totdat die regering aan hul eise voldoen, het mnr. Julius Malema, ANC-jeugleier, gister te midde van luide toejuiging in Thembelihle in Lenasia gesê.
Hy het inwoners van die township, waar daar verlede maand gewelddadige diensleweringsbetogings was, op ’n blitsbesoek vir die jeugliga se massa-optog gemobiliseer.Die jeugliga gaan Donderdag by die Beyers Naudé-plein in Johannesburg bymekaarkom en na die Kamer van Mynwese, die JSE en die Uniegebou in Pretoria opruk om die nasionalisering van myne en die herverdeling van die land se rykdom te eis.’n Nagwaak sal Donderdagaand by die Uniegebou gehou word.Hulle dring aan op onder meer gratis onderrig, werk vir die jeug en ekonomiese bevryding.“Ons moet swart mense weer waardigheid gee.“Solank ons in die donker is, sonder water en elektrisiteit moet klaarkom en in plakkershutte woon, is ons nie vry nie,” het Malema, geklee in ’n kleurige Karibiese hemp en Ché Guevara-baret, gesê.“Nie net julle raadslede nie, maar die hele wêreld, selfs Amerika, moet weet van die probleme hier en die omstandighede waarin julle woon.”Hy het gesê die ANC-jeugliga gaan busse na Thembelihle stuur om die inwoners na die optog aan te ry.Die optog gaan nie in agterstraatjies plaasvind nie, maar op groot paaie soos die N1 sodat die verkeer ontwrig kan word en almal van die optog bewus kan wees, het Malema gesê.Intussen het die National Union of Metalworkers (Numsa) gister sy steun toegesê aan die jeugliga se veldtog om ekonomiese bevryding.Mnr.
