Attacks against rural and urban white people in the Free State now more than in GautengOn average 247.5 whites are being attacked per month – and 42,5 monthly xenophobic incidents are recorded on Farmitracker. Out of the 990 attacks against ‘whites’, nearly half -- a total 566 -- were in rural *) areas : the highest number in the Free State province (508), with 262 attacks in Gauteng, 60 attacks in North West and 8 in Limpopo province, 2 in North Natal, In Mozambique 2 whites were attacked (one Afrikaner man was abducted from South Africa and murdered in Mozambique, the other white survived) . Nine attacks occurred in the least-populated province namely the North Cape, 34 in the East Cape and 88 in greater Cape Town. Not one day went by without such an incident. Please note that these statistics change every day as new incidents are recorded. Also noted: two white South Africans are still in the hands of Somalian pirates in Mogadishu ever since the working-class couple were abducted off the Tanzanian coast while crewing on a small private yacht in October 2010.
* Rural areas: map below: attacks on whites in rural areas alone Jan 1 2011 – May 1 2011:
Attacks, hatespeech incidents targetting white South Africans and ethno-European foreign residents in South Africa in the countryside – i.e.L at rural lodges, holiday-resorts, subsistence-smallholdings, commercial farms, seaside- and mountainous rural regions – totalled 566 in this four-month period inside South Africa.
MAP BELOW: Total 170 ‘xenophobic’ attacks recorded Jan 1 2011 to April 30 2011
In the period Jan1_2011 – May 1_2011, Farmitracker.com recorded 170 (averaging 42 a month) of the sonamed ‘xenophobic’ attacks against the estimated 11-million black foreign migrant ‘refugees’ from other parts of Africa. (In the same time period there were 990 attacks against the country’s 3million ‘white South Africans and white foreigners’. It is of interest that although the black refugees number nearly 4 times more, the ethno-Europeans in South africa are being attacked at a rate of 247 incidents a month and black foreigners, 42 a month. It is regrettable that these notfied incidents cannot be verified with official SA Police sources: the police do not maintain ‘racial’ breakdowns of incidents; and they also often also hide these ‘racist’ or ‘xenophobic’ attacks behind ‘ordinary crime’ statistics.
The largest recorded number of xenophobic attacks occurred in Gauteng province (80), followed by greater Cape Town (27), KwaZulu (22) East Cape (5), South Coast (2), North Cape (8). No xenophobic attacks nor attacks against whites were recorded along the West Coast of South Africa against black-foreigners. However this may be due to the fact that Farmitracker.com has no correspondents in that particularly sparcely populated region as yet.
IMPORTANT: Not included in the above map because it occurred in June 2011, it is relevant to note that there was one allegedly 'white racist murder' against a Malawian man in Broederstroom, and, for which the SA police at Hartbeespoort has put out an arrest warrant : http://www.farmitracker.com/reports/view/1416
http://bit.ly/lJR7Li - Incompetent Fire Departments let children burn to death, leave families homeless and destitute - let shops and even bird-sanctuaries burn down
Municipal fire-fighting services show serious cracks in skills: from Lydenburg, Kempton Park to Boksburg; children have burned to death, families become homeless, businesses burn down.
Many families and property-owners are left destitute. Fire-tenders reportedly break down, fire-departments don’t answer emergency phones, many residents complain of firetenders showing up far too late; firefighters who don’t even have the most basic knowledge of handling and maintaining the equipment.
Even Johannesburg International Airport could be in serious trouble if it ever had a major air-crash disaster or a very large, life-threatening fire where it would need to call up the fire-tenders from surrounding municipalities such as Kempton Park and Boksburg. The Kempton Park Look Local newspaper publishes regular news-items indicating that there are very serious failures in firefighting skills: with homes and businesses burning down because fire-tenders don’t show up in time; with equipment breaking down; and firefighters unable to maintain the equipment in working-condition.
South Africa’s long, proud firefighting tradition is going down the drain of black-economic empowerment laws…
There has always been a traditional group of excellent, experienced, and very dedicated fire-fighters in South Africa. Many fire-departments are/were manned by dedicated volunteers such as Sandown Station 15: located on Linden Road, Sandown – and many firefighters get their training at the Brixton Firefighters’ Training School in Johannesburg. However increasingly it is now also seen, for instance on the news-items below, that municipal-controlled fire-fighting services are breaking down more and more: endangering the lives of residents because of poor training, poor maintenance and poor response times… link
Two children burn to death in Lydenburg because the only municipal fire-tender had ‘broken down’…
On April 13 in Lydenburg, Angelique, 3, and Nico van Niekerk, aged 2, were burnt to death because the only municipal firetender had ‘broken down.’ Working-class platinum-mine worker Jan van Niekerk and his wife Belinda lost their children in the fire which gutted their rental home: the children’s scorched bodies were found embracing each other, hiding behind their bed. Their mother, who suffers from leukemia, sustained burn-wounds trying frantically to rescue them. The municipality has offered neither assistance, nor apologies or any condolances to the grieving, homeless and now totally destitute Van Niekerk family.' link
‘Ekurhuleni' (Boksburg region) fire-brigade tender ‘ malfunctions ‘ - Venter family loses house at 9 Malgas Street, Birch Acres on June 18, 2011
27 June 2011 Mr Koos and Mrs Dawn Venter's house at 9 Malgas Street, Birch Acres, burnt down on June 18. They, as well as their two daughters and granddaughter, are now homeless. Their one daughter was woken up by the light of the fire that was already raging in the kitchen. She woke up her parents, her child of seven, sister, as well as an uncle and aunt that stayed with them for the weekend. The fire brigade took 45 minutes to arrive after the house caught fire shortly after 4.30am. The first tender to arrive had no water -- and a fire officer could not open the fire hydrant. They said only after a second fire truck had arrived, could the fire be extinguished- far too late. The official spin from department spokesman Vincent Khoza was that the ‘driver operator tried to engage the pump into pump gear so that they could get water to start with fire fighting, but unfortunately the fire engine did not respond.’ He claimed ‘a backup was on the way and arrived within 10 minutes. The fire was brought under control, was subsequently extinguished and three bedrooms were saved.” He blamed ‘a mechanical failure.’ He didn’t explain why they don’t have competent mechanics to keep the fire-engines working properly. He ‘ reminded residents to call 011-458-0911 (paid number) or 10177 (toll free) or 112 cell phones for all life threatening emergencies. link http://www.looklocal.co.za/looklocal/content/en/kempton-park/kempton-park-news-general?oid=4499779&sn=Detail&pid=490119&House-destroyed-because-of-incompetence--says-family
Fruit-stall co-owner Steps Posramos – rushed to fetch fire-tenders from Spartan fire brigade himself…
Fruit-stall owner Steps Posramos was burnt in the fire which gutted his Pretoria Road store in Kempoton Park. He had to rush to the Spartan fire department himself to alert them - because the fire brigade was so slow to respond.(source: Bernice Maune). The fire destroyed a cafe and fresh produce shop on June 5. Mr Steps Posramos, the co-owner of the fruit shop, refuted claims that the fire department ‘had reached the scene within minutes.”On the contrary: he first was alerted by a call from Alpha Security, notifying him of the fire at about 5am. He immediately called the fire brigade and the owner of the building before rushing to the scene himself. He said he waited for 10 to 15 minutes before driving to the fire department in Spartan. "I hooted until someone came out and I told them the place was on fire. They claimed they did not get the call that the shops were burning." Fire trucks were dispatched and followed Posramos to the scene. "One of the firefighters sprayed water on the door while I tried to unlock it. The steam burnt my face. When I asked for help from the ambulance, I was told they did not have supplies. I had to drive to Arwyp (for medical care) myself," said Posramos. He further alleged that one of the fire trucks had no water and another was leaking water. "Police and forensic workers are investigating the cause of the fire. Fortunately we have insurance," said Posramos. Again, spokesman Vincent Khoza denied it happened that way. link

Silk family left homeless: about 10 people called the fire department but could not get through to the emergency services
30 June 2011 | Bernice Maune AS a family of six watched their home go up in flames the fire brigade battled to contain the blaze which destroyed their Glen Marais home and most of its contents. This was the fourth major fire in Kempton Park in the past few weeks. Three homes and a business have burnt down. The fire started at about 1pm on Tuesday. The Silk family, comprising four children and their parents, were left homeless. The cause of the fire is unknown. The four children and a helper who were in the house at the time said by the time they noticed the fire, it had already spread to most of the house. Miss Olecia Sibanda said she heard the hysterical screams of one of the children while she was cleaning upstairs."I heard shouts of fire, fire and ran for my life," she said.
Mrs Charlotte Redgate, a neighbour, said once she and her family were alerted to the fire, they assisted and helped to carry valuables out of the house. Redgate was furious at the service she received from the fire department."About ten people called the fire department and police but could not get through to the emergency services. I called 10177 and each time I waited for them to transfer me, the line was cut," said Redgate. Two reaction officers from MML Security came to the rescue as they managed to get hold of the fire brigade through a direct line.Mr Reinhardt Kruger and Francois Bishop said they were in the area when they saw the smoke.
"We arrived and saw the smoke coming from the thatch roof. We called the fire brigade and got through. We then rushed to the house and started pulling out valuables and the dogs," they said. The fire brigade eventually arrived but by then it was too late as the house was completely on fire.A small trck was dispatched but seemed ill-equipped to handle the extent of the blaze. Upon EXPRESS' arrival only one fireman was trying to douse the flames with a hose pipe. Pipes attached to the hose pipe were leaking profusely while the fireman struggled to restrain the fire.A neighbour assisted by standing on the roof of his house, hose pipe in hand, watering down the thatch roof.n hour and 45 minutes after the fire had started, two more fire engines were dispatched to the scene."The real heroes here were the citizens of Glen Marais. Strangers came out of nowhere to help by taking things out of the house. The fire department let us down," said Redgate.

Kempton Park. A State prosecutor's failure to produce a Sterkfontein Hospital representative to testify why they can’t provide a timely psychological assesment of alleged family-murderer William Colsby, could cause him to walk free on July 26. Mr Colsby was found with slit wrists after he had allegedly murdered his wife Zonelia and adopted daughter Cindy on New Year’s Day when he was fired from his job of 20 years.
Murdered: Cindy and Zonelia Colsby. Jan 1 2011, Edleen, Kempton Park home: pater familias William Colsby found with slit wrists: after he was fired from his Standard Bank job of 20 years: the trial delays due to the State’s failure to get him placed for psychological assessment at Sterkfontein Hospital in Krugersdorp could cause magistrate to strike the case off the roll by July 26, 2011…
Many white families are under extreme duress because of black-economic empowerment laws barring them from labour market
Many whites are losing their jobs in South Africa under the ANC regime’s barring of whites from the labour market through its sonamed black-economic-empowerment laws. Besides a dramatic increase in suicides and family murderers, hundreds of thousands of well-educated whites now are destitute and unable to secure a future for their children. Mr Colsby’s case provides a dramatic illustration of the stress white South African families are under due to this black-racist law.
It’s not known whether Mr Colsby has ever received psychological treatment after the family drama. Instead, he’s been dragged through numerous court-appearances while waiting for Sterkfontein to give him a psychological assessment. The prosecutor said Colsby was Number 39 on the Sterkfontein waiting list on June 23. Initially he also was denied bail and was in jail, without any kind of psychological- or trauma treatment. Eventually he was granted bail. And now, after continuous delays due to Sterkfontein’s failure to provide the court with a timely psychological assessment as to whether Colsby was even mentally-fit enough to stand trial, the attorney has finally asked the case to be struck from the court roll on 23 June 2011.
Due to the circumstances in which he was found, he must be psychologically-assessed to establish his mental fitness to stand trial. Colsby's trial date cannot be set until he had been examined at Sterkfontein. Colsby's lawyer told the court on June 23 that he corresponded with the state-prosecutor, asking him to bring a representative from Sterkfontein to court, to explain why Colsby ‘s psychological assessment date was taking so long. “Unless a representative did not officially state the reasons, the case should be struck off the roll until further notice as the state had failed to secure a mental observation for Colsby,’ the lawyer said. “My client’s rights were infringed upon due to the numerous delays and postponements by the State. The State denies my client the privilege to a speedy trial.
The (unnamed) magistrate turned this request -- down this time. He postponed the case to July 26 – but did say that he would strike the case off the roll that day if the State does not within that month’s time, provide the requested information concerning Mr Colsby’s psychological assessment. He ordered everyone to appear before him that day, and extended Mr Colsby’s bail. (summary was sourced from article by Bernice Maune).
“The Stae was given a letter requesting my client's case be struck off the roll, it is unacceptable that I followed the procedure yet the State is not sufficient. They should have been prepared and ready. I cannot lean back to assist the State. The accused has a fixed address and he is not going anywhere. Serious charges and legal fees do not grow on one's back, how does the state expect him to pay for his fees ?" The magistrate then allowed an interval for the State to supply an explanation about its failure to acknowledge the accused's letter, secure a bed and to liaise with Sterkfontein's representatives. The prosecutor came back without acknowledging receipt of the letter and provided an unclear explanation.
Maune noted that 'Colsby's attorney said after the interval that in the meantime, 'my client had gone up once on the waiting list.’ He had called for a Sterkfontein representative to testify or for the case to be struck off the roll. The letter was ignored and we are not sure that this matter will be attended to. The State has brought nothing before the court, no facts or indication of when my client will be examined. It is not justice for my client to wait some more months. It is emotional and financial prejudice for my client to wait. He doesn't know when or where he will stand trial for murder. If the State want to prosecute they must get their house in order. I am not being taken seriously and am not here to play games, families are involved and we cannot brush that aside. The state must come up with a credible answer," he said.
Maune: ‘Colsby cut a solitary figure as he sat by himself during the court appearance. Dressed in a tracksuit jacket and pants, his grey hair was combed back with glasses perched on the bridge of his nose. He did not appear fazed by the severity of the charges against him. Instead he seemed calm. Throughout the proceedings he stared straight ahead and did not make eye contact with people seated around him. Colsby's brother, Jan was there to support him.”
It is alleged that Colsby had killed his wife and daughter by striking them with a torch to the head and then tried to commit suicide thereafter at their Kiepersol Street, Edleen home on New Year’s Day 2011. The State alleges that Colby became distraught when he was suddenly retrenched from his job he’d held down for 20 years. "Early Saturday morning between 6am and 7am, the neighbours heard screams coming from the house. The family's adopted daughter was outside and tried to get into the house. "She ended up calling the police, her pastor and family," said the source. Meanwhile inside the house, the couple were allegedly arguing over money in the bedroom. The wife apparently raised her voice to her husband. While walking away from him, he allegedly hit her from behind with a heavy duty police torch to the head, splitting her scalp open and killing her instantly. None of this was witnessed by anyone. However the adopted daughter then ‘confronted her father, who struck in her face with the torch. She too, died on the scene,’ according to the first descriptions in the news media just after the event. "A police officer arrived on the scene but couldn't go in as he felt it was unsafe. He called for back up. The flying squad, Sebenza police and paramedics arrived shortly thereafter. Eleven or twelve policemen went inside the house where they found the wife's body lying naked at the front door. "The daughter's body was found near the bar area. There was blood everywhere. As the flying squad went through the house, they initially thought it was a robbery. But, the man was found in the main bedroom laying in a pool of blood with his wrists slit, as he had tried to kill himself," recounted the source. The man was attended to by paramedics and stabilized. He was escorted by the police to Tembisa hospital .”The man had a history of psychological instability as he had previously tried to commit suicide. "When asked if he knew what he had just done, at first he couldn't recall. When told that he had killed his wife, he said he remembered that he had had enough and did not want to live anymore," an unidentified source told the Kempton Park newspaper.
Since that time, Colsby’s trial was repeatedly moved forward: all because Sterkfontein Hospital is unable to provide a timely psychological assessment While waiting, he was granted bail.
Cindy, who was 17 years old at the time of her death, was described as a fun loving, adventurous, creative and artistic individual.
A former grade 10 Hoërskool Jeugland pupil, she wanted to become an interior decorator after school. Cindy is said to have had a soft spot for cats and once made her father drive her to Secunda when she found out her aunt had ginger kittens. She was also described as well spoken, loving and fiercely loyal to her family. According to her family and in laws, Zonelia (44) was a good person who liked to help. "She was an ex-school teacher who became a housewife. Zonelia frequently assisted the elderly by offering her hairdressing skills on a regular basis. She was attentive, thoughtful, caring and very knowledgeable. They will be missed by their husband, father, family and friends. We are thankful for the magnitude of loving memories we will have of them," said her family.
