June 30 2012. "Thus far 89 hate-crimes were recorded in June 2012 – i.e. 20 xenophobic & homophobic murders; and also 71 murders/mutilation attacks against whites. All the perpetrators in these incidents in June 2012 were black South Africans : also during the 16 violent riots recorded in June. There also were two public protests by white communities which remained non-violent.
In June 2012 there were no incidents recorded where any whites physically attacked black people in South Africa for ‘racist reasons’. There has also since the previous month, been an 20% increase in the number of recorded hatespeech-incidents against a combination of black foreigners, against homosexual people and against white people in South Africa. The perpetrators of such hatespeech all were black South Africans.
